So Now Whose Nutz? Psychiatry Professors Ask Obama To COMMAND Trump To Commit To Mental Examination

Illuminati U, again.

A trio of psychiatrists has sent a letter to President Barack Obama advising him to command President-elect Donald Trump to submit to “a full medical and neuropsychiatric evaluation.” The psychiatrists want Obama to make Trump get his head examined because they believe Trump “cannot distinguish between fantasy and reality.”

[Ed; as in Hospitals in SF not existing?
As in buying 'penis shaped stress toys' for gay men to make them mentally healthy by reducing their stress levels?]
The Huffington Post is reporting the letter, dated Nov. 29, as legitimate.

Here is the full text of the apparently wholly serious letter:

“Dear President Obama,

We are writing to express our grave concern regarding the mental stability of our President-Elect. Professional standards do not permit us to venture a diagnosis for a public figure whom we have not evaluated personally. Nevertheless, his widely reported symptoms of mental instability — including grandiosity, impulsivity, hypersensitivity to slights or criticism, and an apparent inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality — lead us to question his fitness for the immense responsibilities of the office. We strongly recommend that, in preparation for assuming these responsibilities, he receive a full medical and neuropsychiatric evaluation by an impartial team of investigators.”

The authors of the letter are Nanette Gartrell, Dee Mosbacher and Judith Herman.

Gartrell, a retired psychiatry professor, is currently the principal researcher for the US National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study, an outfit which tracks lesbians who have children through artificial insemination.

Gartrell is married to Mosbacher, one of the other two authors of the letter to Obama about Trump’s “mental stability.”

Completing this poll entitles you to Daily Caller news updates free of charge. You may opt out at anytime. You also agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Mosbacher, a retired professor and filmmaker who “understands the suffering caused by homophobia from a psychological and psychosocial point of view,” is Gartrell’s “spouse of 40 years,” according to Gartrell’s bio. Photos of Mosbacher and of Gatrell show them with identical haircuts and remarkably similar eyeglasses.

A website promoting a book by Gartrell features a photo of Obama sandwiched between Gartrell and Mosbacher, with his arms around both of them.

A 2005 story in The New York Times memorializes the actual marriage between Gartrell and Mosbacher. The Times story notes that the lesbian couple tied the knot in Canada.

Also of interest, Mosbacher’s father, Robert Mosbacher, was the U.S. commerce secretary under President George H.W. Bush from 1989 to 1992.

Herman, the third author of the letter questioning Trump’s “fitness for the immense responsibilities” of the presidency, is a part-time psychiatry professor at Harvard Medical School.

She is the author of a book entitled “Father-Daughter Incest” — a “rethinking of incest” that is “profoundly, passionately feminist.”

The Huffington Post’s publication of the letter urging Obama to force Trump to undergo psychiatric intervention includes an explanation of the American Psychiatric Association’s definition of narcissistic personality disorder.

There are nine criteria for narcissistic personality disorder, HuffPo says, including “exaggerates achievements and talents,” “is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success,” believes “that he or she is ‘special,'” “requires excessive admiration” and “is interpersonally exploitative.”

“If someone does criticize them, even in a Tweet or on a television comedy show, it triggers this deep and painful lack of self-esteem and they MUST lash out to relieve the pain of the criticism,” The Huffington Post reports.

HuffPo writer Richard Greene — a “communication strategist” who was previously the host of a radio show called “Hollywood CLOUT!” — worries that Trump, as president, will unilaterally use the U.S. military or even “7,000 nuclear warheads” to lash out at “a perceived or real enemy” who crosses him personally.

The Huffington Post also links to interviews (on Facebook and on YouTube) with Lynne Meyer, a clinical psychologist “trained in South Africa” who is deeply concerned about the impending Trump presidency.

And Now For The Bad News: CaliforniaCrats Annoint Kamala Harris To US Senate

LA Times

Phil Willon Contact Reporter
Nov 15, 2016

Newly elected U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris said she’s already been in contact with her West Coast colleagues about banding together to implement Democratic priorities in the political era of President-elect Donald Trump.

“I have talked with some of the West Coast senators and certainly we have an alignment of interests on a number of issues,” Harris told the Los Angeles Times in a telephone interview. “I’m looking forward to building those relationships.”

Harris, who won the Senate election last week, didn’t disclose the topics of any of those conversations, but did share her thoughts about working with the Republican Senate majority and what the Democrats must do to reconnect with working-class voters who backed Trump. Harris also said that she plans to continue serving as California attorney general until she is sworn into the Senate on Jan. 3.

During her Senate campaign, Harris also had several discussions with New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, who will be the new Democratic leader of the Senate. Schumer and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg held an East Coast fundraiser for Harris over the summer.

She dismissed climate-change deniers as a “very vocal, small group.”

She addressed the issue following a press conference at the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, where Harris vowed to protect the rights of all immigrants.

SF Cops Take "Intolerance Pledge" Turn In The Politically Incorrect

frontpagemag

Daniel Greenfield
It's a glorious day in the People's Republic of America. The sun is shining bright (due to Global Warming). The symbols of the old regime are being torn down and banned. Progressive mobs riot in the streets. We enter another stretch of unprecedented economic growth/unemployment and economic depression. And the pledges of intolerance are being taken. The enemies of the people are being dealt with.
Comrade, are you aware of anyone making politically incorrect statements against the regime and its tolerant values? IMMEDIATELY TURN THEM IN TO THE AUTHORITIES.
San Francisco police officers are being asked to combat racism in the ranks and take a pledge to turn in colleagues displaying intolerant behavior, such as slurs and jokes targeting people of color, gays and women.
Pledge to turn in any colleagues making politically incorrect jokes in exchange for five extra food ration stamps! Hail the beloved Obama! Next they'll dig up Pavlik Morozov.
This was set off by another one of those racist #BlackLivesMatter #EveryoneElseShouldDie campaigns.
The Dec. 2 shooting of a young black man clutching a kitchen knife by five officers has increased racial tensions and sparked calls for the police chief's removal.
What did this poor, poor child who was shot do?
Police say Mario Woods, 26, had stabbed a stranger earlier that day, ignored commands to drop the knife and shook off blasts of tear gas and shots from a bean bag gun before officers opened fire.
Police say only one of the five officers involved was white, but protests over the shooting persists. Mayor Ed Lee has asked the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate.
Clearly. #FactsDontMatter
"I will not tolerate hate or bigotry in our community or from my fellow officers," the seven-sentence pledge states in part. "I will confront intolerance and report any such conduct without question or pause."
The pledge is not asking officers to "snitch" on one another, Suhr said. Rather, he said, it is intended to reinforce that the police department reflects the tolerant and diverse culture of San Francisco.
It's not snitching, it's diversity. It's not a witch hunt, it's diversity. It's not embedding political commissars, it's diversity. Which is also all of those things and more.

Thank You Mr Greenfield and FPM.

Amazing the things we pay Law Enforcement to do, isn't it?

They get paid to investigate culturally insensitive jokes and slurs among themselves but they never got paid to find this.

UCSF Is #1 Top Grossing Hospital In America

Well, you know what they say. You get what you pay for.

Maybe we just don't pay them enough and they need a raise.

Psych Ground Zero (SF/UCSF) Supply of Disposable Research Subjects (Sanctuary Policy) Becomes Key Issue In Sherriff's Race

weaselzippers
Trouble in liberal utopia.
[Ed; In more ways $$$ than one.]
Via KPIX:
Only two incumbent San Francisco sheriffs have lost re-election in the last 60 years — but Ross Mirkarimi is facing a tough battle Tuesday to avoid being the third.
The San Francisco sheriff’s office has been in the spotlight since a Mexican national in the country illegally was accused in the fatal shooting of a San Francisco woman this summer. The man had been released from Mirkarimi’s jail even though federal immigration officials had requested that he be detained.
Also, Mirkarimi has endured a series of personal and official embarrassments, including having his driver’s license briefly suspended and flunking a marksmanship test that prevents him from carrying a service weapon.
“I’m in the redemption industry,” said Mirkarimi, 54, who launched the Green Party in California before changing his voter registration to Democrat. “I believe in second chances.”
His opponent, retired sheriff’s official Vicki Hennessy, 62, is running a low-key campaign — her first — hoping to capitalize on Mirkarimi’s negative image.
“The department needs leadership,” Hennessy said. “It needs its credibility restored.”
The latest campaign contribution disclosures show that she has raised $286,000 to his $109,000 and won the endorsements of the unions representing the county jail’s sworn officers. Hennessy is also supported by the mayor.
Mirkarimi, who served for eight years on the city’s Board of Supervisors, has won the endorsement of the previous sheriff, who served for 32 years before retiring in 2011. Former Mayor Art Agnos also has endorsed Mirkarimi, who points to the success of the jail’s high school and the dramatic reduction of the inmate population as major accomplishments.
Hennessy said she was encouraged to enter the race by Mayor Ed Lee and others because of Mirkarimi’s stumbles, which began when he bruised his wife’s arm during a New Year’s Eve argument in 2011.

Sanctuary Cities: SF Murderer Of Kate Steinle Had Been Deported 5 Times

weaselzippers
This week, the Senate blocked a bill aimed at cracking down on America’s nearly 300 sanctuary cities. Laws in these cities help shield illegal immigrants from deportation, even after they’ve committed felonies.
The proposal was motivated by the death of Kate Steinle. In July, she was fatally shot by an illegal immigrant who’d been deported five times and convicted of seven felonies. The Full Measure team found the problem of Importing Murder is much larger, and often understated by politicians and advocates with special interests at stake.

Thank You Nick and Full Measure.com

These border jumping criminals wouldn't be here if they weren't providing profit/equity to the people who Want and Keep them here.

We can repost ad infinitum about the utter inability of Psychiatry to cure anyone but themselves and their co-workers, their wretched, 100% worse than useless drugs and so on, or you can search it out yourselves through the post labels and side bar permalinks.

Kate Steinle would probably still be alive if SF and UCSF didn't need a steady stream of disposable 'Research' subjects.

Stench And The City: San Francisco/UCSF's 'Sanctuary City' Summer Of Urine

Yes, it does stink and in more ways than one, and it is not going to stop stinking until a new President appoints and the Senate confirms a U.S. Attorney General whose not a party hack to roll up their sleeves and get inside the SF/UCSF 'We Need More Disposable People for our Federally Funded Psychiatric Machine To Eat'.

Debra J. Saunders | Aug 09, 2015
How bad is the urine situation in San Francisco? This is not a joke: Monday night, a light pole corroded by urine collapsed and crashed onto a car, narrowly missing the driver. The smell is worse than I have known since I started working for The Chronicle in 1992. It hits your nose on the BART escalator before you reach Market Street. That sour smell can bake for blocks where street people sleep wrapped in dirty blankets. I talked to Mayor Ed Lee and rode around with police to find out what can be done to clean up San Francisco.
Why does the city stink so? With the drought there has been less rain to wash away the city's sins. Prosperity has produced a building boom -- so there are fewer vacant spaces where the homeless can burrow.
I asked Lee Wednesday why other cities seem so much cleaner than San Francisco. "I think they enjoy serious winters," Lee answered -- cold weather can drive street people to easier climates. Ess Eff doesn't have really cold weather: "We're a year-round attraction for various lifestyles."
Lee said things I didn't think I'd hear a San Francisco mayor ever say. Like: "I do think that people are being somewhat more irresponsible." (Remember: The first step in solving a problem is to recognize that it exists.) And: "It's not so much the urination," but "historic levels of drug use."
Changes in California law and policy mean that offenses that once rated as felonies are now misdemeanors. Police can't lock up drug users as they once did. Prisons and jails are releasing inmates who, Lee added, haven't worked through their "bad habits."
This year, Hizzoner has ramped up public restroom access. Newly staffed Pit Stop public toilets have decreased requests for sidewalk steam cleaning in the Tenderloin. They've put a pissoir in Dolores Park. The mayor has budgeted more money for Department of Public Works cleanup crews and for housing to improve the lot of 500 homeless families at a time. The new Navigation Center in the Mission has drawn chronic homeless who resisted programs because they refused to part with their pets and possessions. Last year, the board of supervisors adopted a version of Laura's Law that allows authorities to compel the mentally ill to accept outpatient treatment. Still, Lee warned, better bathroom facilities won't necessarily change the habits of street people who "can't even make a rational decision because they're so drugged out."
I saw proof of the street drug problem later that morning as I went for a ride with San Francisco Police Lt. Mike Nevin and Sgt. Joe McCloskey who patrol the homeless beat. We had traveled one whole block when we came across a couple passed out in an alleyway with a small pack of dogs -- one was their dog, two belonged to a friend. The woman said they'd been living at a nearby homeless hotel, but got evicted for failure to pay a week's rent. I saw caps from syringes and small plastic bags used for heroin. A Homeless Outreach Team soon arrived to see what services the couple needed. A Department of Public Works truck came to pick up unattended mattresses, blankets and backpacks.
Later we drove to King Street, to a stretch of unused road turned homeless encampment. Enterprising street people had hooked into electricity -- there were dozens of cords plugged into power strips; someone had tampered with a fire hydrant for water (but now city workers say it has to be fixed before it can be used to put out a fire). There were couches, expensive-looking tents and piles of refuse. I saw a Vespa and at least a dozen bicycles. Spying a cache of bike frames, McCloskey suspects a chop shop. Another officer opines, "If you are a drug addict, you are going to come to San Francisco."
Across an overpass, I see new condos -- a two-bedroom unit is for sale for $1.5 million. As the city gets smellier and scarier, I wonder, how many suckers can one city find to pay that kind of money in a neighborhood so clearly on the edge?
By now, most of the two-dozen or so King Street squatters have taken off. Two remaining, still packing up stuff, tell me they have spent a month there. A man named Brian from New Orleans says he came to San Francisco four years ago. He spent three days on King Street. "I love the city." Of course, he does.
"All we are really is a nuisance to them," McCloskey says. Later he tells me, he's great at clearing blocks, but that only moves the homeless to a different place.
I have just finished reading a June 2015 U.C. Berkeley Law School Clinic report, "Punishing the Poorest: How the Criminalization of Homelessness Perpetuates Poverty in San Francisco." The authors maintain that San Francisco "is responding to homelessness with a punitive fist." Punitive? As in tough? The report cites laws against overnight camping and lying on public sidewalks, as well as drug possession or alcohol consumption in public places. Such laws are Jim Crow 2015, according to the report; the term "quality of life" is an "offensive misnomer" that works against "poor people, people of color, and homeless people who are disproportionately impacted by these laws." In short, if street people are self-destructive and anti-social, it's because of the police.
I have to laugh because Lt. Nevin sounds like a social worker. He makes a lot of the same points as the Berkeley report. You can't expect drug addicts to get clean without providing housing first, he says. And: "It doesn't do any good to cite somebody and then run into them a week later and cite them again." He wants more resources, like the Navigation Center, which take the time needed to steer the chronic homeless into the right programs.
There's one point in the U.C. Berkeley report that does strike a chord -- the argument that many SFPD actions just don't work. Move a homeless man, and he just goes elsewhere, not into housing. The cycle of citations doesn't work because street people don't pay fines. Take away someone's driver license for not paying fines and he or she can't get to work. Arresting drug users is futile, I gather, because misdemeanors mean little more than a short stint in jail -- hours maybe. Report ethnographer Chris Herring interviewed homeless people who told him arrests were turnaround events that resulted in, maybe, a night in jail, if that. At most, a weekend.
"I do find it cruel to say it's unacceptable to camp in San Francisco," Herring told me over the phone. On principle, I have no problem with police citing street people for squatting on and trashing public spaces. That's vandalism. But if citations don't work, that bothers me. Maybe there are things SFPD should be doing less, because they don't work. Or things they should do more to improve -- I'll say it -- San Francisco's "quality of life." If you think "quality of life" is a slur, you're part of the problem.
San Francisco is an affluent and vibrant city. It shouldn't smell like stale piss.

Thank You Ms Saunders and Townhall.

A large part of San Francisco's affluence and vibrancy is OPM knowingly buying 'the smell of stale piss', . . . an inseperable concomitant of any army of Drug Pushers.

Cleaning up this Urban Nose Sore is going to take more than empty promises from it to quit being a Sanctuary City.

It's going to take a major house cleaning at NIH and the closure of NIMH to stop funding SF's never ending Summer of Urine.

University of Cal. System Hits Bottom, Issues More Shovels

campusreform

Gabriella Morrongiello
Reporter

  • The pamphlet, distributed by the U-Cal. system, lists nearly 50 phrases, questions, and scenarios as offensive.
  • The list includes meritocracy and gender roles.
  • An extensive list of 'microaggressions' has been circulated to University of California instructors during recent faculty leadership seminars.
According to the UC Office of the President, (note 1) the list is part of a growing effort to “broaden faculty leaders’ capacity to support faculty diversity and enhance department and campus climate toward inclusive excellence.”
The comprehensive list, titled "Recognizing Microaggressions and the Messages They Send,” describes microaggressions as “negative messages” aimed at targeting persons “based solely upon their marginalized group membership.” The pamphlet deems nearly 50 phrases, questions, and scenarios offensive and describes the subliminal messages each sends.
For example, statements asserting that "race or gender does not play a role in life successes” are offensive and perpetuate a “Myth of Meritocracy.” The list describes the following as such statements: “America is the land of opportunity;” “I believe the most qualified person should get the job;” or “Everyone in this society can succeed, if they work hard enough.”
Assuming traditional gender roles is another common theme of microaggressions featured in the list. According to the UC System, glancing at a woman’s ring finger upon asking her age can be considered a microaggression as can asking a woman if she plans to have children while in postdoctoral training.
The latter suggests that “[w]omen should be married during child-bearing ages because that is their primary purpose.”
Other phrases that faculty were instructed to avoid include:
    “You people…”

    “You speak English very well.”

“You are a credit to your race.”

“There is only one race, the human race.”

    “Why are you always angry?”
If an individual uses one of these phrases they may guilty of “assigning intelligence to a person of color or a woman based on his/her race/gender,” suggesting someone is “not a true American,” or advancing the notion that “values and communication styles of the dominant/White culture are ideal/’normal.’”
Other tools and programs included in the leadership seminars provide faculty with guidance on “how to remove gender bias in hiring” and how to interrupt microaggressions.
According to the The College Fix, the half-day seminars—which occurred throughout the 2014-2015 academic year—invited deans and department chairs from the 10 UC campuses to come together to address “campus climate issues,” and foster “inclusive excellence.”
UC spokeswoman Shelly Meron says the programs are not intended to “curb open dialogue, debate or classroom discussions,” according to the Fix.
