Whatever your feelings about abortion, there’s no reasonable argument that taxpayers should be forced to subsidize an abortion chain which already operates handsomely in the black with the help of thousands of millionaire celebrity donors.
President Trump’s action last week, barring Title X family planning funds from programs and facilities that perform abortions, is thus entirely right and reasonable. For all Planned Parenthood’s gnashing of teeth, the only thing to suffer will be its own profits and the rewards of its senior executives. The public good and women’s health will, at a minimum, remain completely unaffected and, depending on your perspective, will be improved.
Trump’s decision will not reduce Title X funding at all. Rather, his policy guarantees that the limited funds available from that source will go to comprehensive community health centers all over America that provide health services Planned Parenthood doesn’t offer. There are 20 such community health centers for every Planned Parenthood affiliate. Most provide services such as mammograms that Planned Parenthood doesn’t offer. Most are also not so heavily involved and invested in partisan politics.

Nebraska Lawmakers Pass Bill To Defund Planned Parenthood

Nebraska lawmakers passed a bill Tuesday afternoon to stop funding for government-supported clinics that perform abortions, including Planned Parenthood, as part of an $8.8 billion budget deal, Omaha World-Herald reports.
The bill was approved 38–6 and is now being sent to Republican Gov. Pete Ricketts, who initiated plans to defund the taxpayer-funded abortion clinic as a part of a family-planning portion of Nebraska’s budget package.
There are two Planned Parenthood locations in Nebraska: One in Lincoln and another in Omaha, which will remain open for service despite losing government funding. Nebraska is home to 42 other health clinics that receive Title X funds from the state.
“Senators spent about an hour Tuesday morning rehashing the debate on restrictions to federal family planning dollars known as Title X,” Omaha World-Herald explains. “The bill got hung up twice on the second round of debate when senators could not agree on changes to the language proposed by Ricketts.”
A compromise was made between lawmakers to allow the defunding of Title X facilities that use government money to perform abortions so as long as other family-planning facilities that do not use government money to perform abortions can still receive federal funding for other types of care and procedures.
Although Planned Parenthood will be defunded because of its abortion operations, other Title X clinics in Nebraska will still be able to receive government money for “low-income, uninsured women and men.”

DOJ Launches Investigation Into Planned Parenthood

The Department of Justice has launched an investigation into Planned Parenthood’s dealings in fetal tissue parts, Fox News reports.
The DOJ requested documents from a Senate committee that investigated allegations Planned Parenthood illegally profited from the sale of the parts of aborted babies. The Center for Medical Progress exposed the abortion giant’s practice of harvesting and distributing the parts in a series of explosive videos published in 2015.
“The Department of Justice appreciates the offer of assistance in obtaining these materials, and would like to request the Committee provide unredacted copies of records contained in the report, in order to further the Department’s ability to conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of that report based on the full range of information available,” the DOJ’s Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs, Stephen Boyd, said in a letter obtained by Fox News.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley requested that Planned Parenthood undergo DOJ and FBI investigation in a December 2016 committee report: “The report documents the failure of the Department of Justice, across multiple administrations, to enforce the law that bans the buying and selling of human fetal tissue,” Grassley wrote. “It also documents substantial evidence suggesting that the specific entities involved in the recent controversy, and/or individuals employed by those entities, may have violated that law.”
Planned Parenthood has repeatedly denied any claims that it has violated any laws or ethical standards when it comes to fetal tissue. A Republican-backed law banning profit from the sale of fetal tissue passed in 1993 is at the heart of the allegations.

HuffPost Says Women Lose Again After Woman Wins Congressional Seat

A Huffington Post reporter contended Wednesday that Karen Handel’s win in Georgia’s special congressional election is bad for women.
HuffPost writer Emma Gray headlined her article, “Reminder: A Win For A Woman Doesn’t Always Mean A Win For Women,” and wrote that “having more women in Congress is great, but Karen Handel isn’t pro-woman.”
Gray also took a swipe at Donald Trump Jr., who she said is “frustrated Handel is not being celebrated as a feminist glass-ceiling breaker simply for being a woman.”
Gray admits that it is admirable to see the Republican party sending more women to Congress, but quoted writer Jennifer Wright who argued in Harper’s Bazaar, “Feminism doesn’t mean liking every stupid woman you meet… if women are opposed to women’s rights? If they’re cheerfully complacent with sexual harassment or scaling back women’s opportunities? If they’re actively going to make life hard work for you and others like you? Speak the fuck out. Don’t worry about seeming polite. Just worry about speaking out.”
Handel is pro-life, supports market-based and patient-centered healthcare reforms, a fairer simpler tax structure with lower rates for families and businesses, and a less punitive tax code among other issues, according to her website platform.
But despite these goals, she is “dedicated to making life harder and worse for lots of women,” according to HuffPost.
Gray also criticizes her for pushing to cut Planned Parenthood funding.
She concludes the article that Handel’s track record and policy priorities indicate that she won’t do anything to advance rights and opportunities for other women, and that “a glass ceiling broken is only worth celebrating if it means something for more than the individual smashing it.”

Republican legislation letting states deny federal family planning money to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers squeezed narrowly through the Senate Thursday, rescued by an ailing GOP senator who returned to the Capitol after back surgery and a tie-breaking vote by Vice President Mike Pence.
In Congress’ latest clash mixing the politics of abortion, women’s health and states’ rights, Pence cast the decisive vote in a 51-50 roll call. The tally had been tied after two GOP senators, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski and Maine’s Susan Collins, joined Democrats opposing the measure.
Senate approval sent the legislation to President Donald Trump, who was expected to sign it. The House voted its consent last month.
The bill erases a regulation imposed by former President Barack Obama shortly before he left office that lets states deny family planning funds to organizations only if they are incapable of providing those services. Some states have passed laws in recent years denying the money to groups that provide abortions.
Passage gives Republicans and anti-abortion groups a needed victory just six days after the party’s highly touted health care overhaul disintegrated in the House due to GOP divisions. Besides erasing much of Obama’s 2010 health care law, the failed House bill would have blocked federal funds for Planned Parenthood for a year.
There is already a ban on using federal funds for abortion except for rare instances.
Democrats assailed the legislation as an attack on women, two months after Trump’s inauguration prompted a women’s march on Washington that mushroomed into anti-Trump demonstrations around the nation.

Activists Behind Planned Parenthood Videos Hit With 15 New Felony Charges (California Again)

The duo who bravely exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts

prosecutors with 15 new felony counts.
In 2016, both David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt with the Center for Medical Progress were indicted by a Texas grand jury on felony tampering charges. Daleiden also received a second indictment. All charges were eventually dropped, and Planned Parenthood was left seething at the Harris County district attorney’s office.
Now, California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra has charged the pair with 15 felonies. The Washington Times reports:

Kamala Harris, now a Democratic U.S. senator, began the investigation into the Center for Medical Progress when she was California attorney general. To replace her after her 2016 election, Gov. Jerry Brown picked Mr. Becerra, who had been was a Democratic member of the U.S. House and part of the caucus’s leadership team.In response to the new charges, the Center for Medical Progress issued the following statement:

New undercover video shows Dr. DeShawn Taylor, previous Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Arizona and longtime abortion provider at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, graphically describing how to deliver intact fetuses in late-term abortions to harvest high-quality body parts, and indicating possible cover-up of infanticide.
At a networking reception at a Planned Parenthood conference, CMP investigators posing as buyers from a biotech company are introduced to Dr. Taylor by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services.Dr. Taylor confirms she does elective abortions on healthy fetuses and pregnant women up to 24 weeks. When the investigators ask her about obtaining intact fetal organs, Dr. Taylor replies, “It’s not a matter of how I feel about it coming out intact, but I gotta worry about my staff and people’s feelings about it coming out looking like a baby.”
She continues, “We have the people who do our paperwork for the fetal death certificates, they email us calling them ‘babies’. Baby this, baby that, baby so-and-so, and I’m like, that’s creepy!”
Dr. Taylor explains to the investigators, “In Arizona, if the fetus comes out with any signs of life, we’re supposed to transport it. To the hospital.” When one investigator then asks, “Is there any standard procedure for verifying signs of of life?” Dr. Taylor replies, “Well, the thing is, I mean the key is, you need to pay attention to who’s in the room, right?”
Dr. Taylor then laughs as she repeats what the Arizona law requires, and says, “It’s a mess. It’s a mess.”
Dr. Taylor acknowledges that the feticidal chemical digoxin cannot be used in an abortion where fetal body parts will be harvested for sale, but she remarks that in a standard dismemberment dilation and evacuation abortion, “My biceps appreciate when the dig[oxin] works,” to kill the fetus before the procedure. “I remember when I was a [Family Planning] Fellow and I was training, I was like, Oh, I have to hit the gym for this,” she says, describing the force she feels in her biceps when performing a dismemberment abortion with forceps.
The struggles Daleiden and Merritt experience, the criminal
charges brought against them, and the videos themselves all serve as
proof of Planned Parenthood’s real agenda. They must be defunded. This
organization receives approximately $500 million in taxpayer funds each
year. Planned Parenthood also spent over $30 million during the 2016 campaign season to elect Hillary Clinton and other pro-aborts. Federal funding is clearly not necessary.
Planned Parenthood is adored by the abortion-loving Left.
Attempts to uncover the evil behind the “women’s healthcare!” mask is
quickly labeled as extreme. Or, as in the case of the CMP videos,
“edited”, as if the words, phrasing, and joviality of those in the
videos had been inserted later to appear more horrific. No, we’re aware
that Planned Parenthood is flippant about life in general, and downright
ecstatic at the possibility of procuring money-making body parts from
the precious lives they happily murder and then discard in the name of
“choice.”
As with the previous charges in Texas, hopefully the
charges against Daleiden and Merritt in California will amount to
nothing at all.

U.S House Votes To Permanently Ban Taxpayer Funding of Abortion

The House passed legislation on Tuesday to permanently codify existing law that bans the use of federal funds for abortion services.
Passage came one day after President Trump issued an executive action prohibiting the use of taxpayer funds for nongovernmental organizations that provide abortion services or support abortion rights.
It also falls three days before the annual March for Life to protest the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which had its 44th anniversary over the weekend.
Lawmakers approved the measure largely along party lines, with three Democrats joining Republicans in the 238-183 vote.
The legislation, written by Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), would also permanently prohibit the District of Columbia from using its local funds approved by Congress for abortion services.
It does allow exceptions for cases of rape, incest or if the mother’s life in danger.
House Republicans have regularly scheduled votes on bills in the last six years to restrict abortion to coincide with the March for Life, when many of their constituents arrive on Capitol Hill to protest the Roe v. Wade ruling. But all of those bills were met with a Democratic filibuster in the Senate.
Former President Obama also opposed the passage of each measure.
This time, however, Republicans have an ally in the White House who’s more inclined to sign their legislation to limit abortions. Top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is one of the featured speakers at this year’s March for Life.
Republicans argued that approving legislation to permanently ensure federal taxpayer dollars aren’t used for abortion services would be a more efficient way of codifying the existing law, which is comprised of a patchwork of provisions in government spending bills requiring regular renewal.
“That’s what we should be all about. Life affirming and the saving of human life,” said Smith, the bill’s author.

Passage came one day after President Trump issued an executive action prohibiting the use of taxpayer funds for nongovernmental organizations that provide abortion services or support abortion rights.
It also falls three days before the annual March for Life to protest the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which had its 44th anniversary over the weekend.
Lawmakers approved the measure largely along party lines, with three Democrats joining Republicans in the 238-183 vote.
The legislation, written by Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.), would also permanently prohibit the District of Columbia from using its local funds approved by Congress for abortion services.
It does allow exceptions for cases of rape, incest or if the mother’s life in danger.
House Republicans have regularly scheduled votes on bills in the last six years to restrict abortion to coincide with the March for Life, when many of their constituents arrive on Capitol Hill to protest the Roe v. Wade ruling. But all of those bills were met with a Democratic filibuster in the Senate.
Former President Obama also opposed the passage of each measure.
This time, however, Republicans have an ally in the White House who’s more inclined to sign their legislation to limit abortions. Top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is one of the featured speakers at this year’s March for Life.
Republicans argued that approving legislation to permanently ensure federal taxpayer dollars aren’t used for abortion services would be a more efficient way of codifying the existing law, which is comprised of a patchwork of provisions in government spending bills requiring regular renewal.
“That’s what we should be all about. Life affirming and the saving of human life,” said Smith, the bill’s author.

Trump's position paper on health care said: "Our elected representatives in the House and Senate must: Completely repeal Obamacare. Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to."
It further stated that reforms put in place after the repeal should "follow free market principles that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country."
Congress must immediately repeal Obamacare — and enact only reforms that "follow free market principles."
2. Confirm pro-life constitutionalists to the Supreme Court.
"The freedoms we cherish and the constitutional values and principles our country was founded on are in jeopardy," Trump stated in September. "The responsibility is greater than ever to protect and uphold these freedoms and I will appoint justices, who, like Justice Scalia, will protect our liberty with the highest regard for the Constitution."
In a letter to pro-life leaders, Trump added: "I am committed to ... (n)ominating pro-life justices to the U.S. Supreme Court."
The Senate should confirm only nominees who fit the model Trump advocated.
3. Build the wall and enforce the immigration laws.
In his immigration plan, Trump promised to: "Begin working on an impenetrable physical wall on the southern border, on Day One."
"All immigration laws will be enforced — we will triple the number of ICE agents," said the plan. "Anyone who enters the U.S. illegally is subject to deportation."
Trump's plan also would "turn off the jobs and benefits magnet" for illegal immigrants. "Many immigrants come to the U.S. illegally in search of jobs," it said, "even though federal law prohibits the employment of illegal immigrants."
Congress should enact all legislation needed to build Trump's wall and fully enforce the immigration laws.
4) Pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
"I am committed to ... (s)igning into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would end painful late-term abortions nationwide," Trump said in his letter to pro-life leaders.
Congress should place that bill on Trump's desk by Jan. 27, the day of the 2017 March for Life.
5) Defund Planned Parenthood.
"I am committed to ... (d)efunding Planned Parenthood as long as they continue to perform abortions," Trump said in his letter. Congress should defund Planned Parenthood in the first spending bill it sends Trump.
6) Cut income tax rates and end the "death tax."
"The Trump Plan will collapse the current seven tax brackets to three brackets," says Trump's tax plan. It would cut the top rate from 39.6 percent to 33 percent.
Additionally, Trump's plan would "repeal the death tax," which can be a confiscatory tax on family owned businesses. It also drops the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent.
A great Congress would go further than Trump's plan. It would enact the "Fair Tax Act" that would eliminate the income tax, replace it with a sales tax and set the stage for repeal of the 16th Amendment, which made direct federal taxation of individual incomes plausible.
But enacting Trump's plan to cut tax rates and abolish the death tax is a good start to reining in federal tax collections.
7) Make better trade deals.
In 2015, the U.S. had a merchandise trade deficit of $745.66 billion, according to the Census Bureau. Since 1979, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation has lost more than 7 million manufacturing jobs.
Trump's trade plan calls for negotiating "fair trade deals that create American jobs, increase American wages, and reduce America's trade deficit." That includes withdrawing from the not-yet-approved Trans-Pacific Partnership and renegotiating NAFTA.
The Senate should ratify better trade deals when they are negotiated.
8) End our nation-building foreign policy.
Trump's foreign policy plan says he will end "the current strategy of nation-building and regime change." Congress should support this, including by reasserting its constitutional authority over the use of military force. That means the president may not use force — except to repel a sudden attack on the United States — unless Congress authorizes it.
9) Enact a balanced budget.
Sean Hannity asked Trump on Fox News on June 17, 2015: "Would you insist on a balanced budget as president?" Trump responded: "I would insist on it relatively soon."
When President Barack Obama took office, the federal debt was about 10.6 trillion. Now it is about $19.9 trillion.
Obama and the last Republican Congress kept America on the road to bankruptcy. President Trump and the new Republican Congress must lead us back the other way — and they cannot do it too soon.

The Obama administration on Wednesday released a long-awaited regulation that bars states from defunding Planned Parenthood for political reasons.
The rule comes after more than a dozen GOP governors and state legislatures have attempted to block Medicaid funding from going toward Planned Parenthood clinics in their state.
Nearly all the defunding actions have been challenged in court, and many have already been struck down, including in Ohio, Mississippi and Arkansas.
Dr. Karen Scott, the chief medical officer at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), said the rule “clarifies that all organizations able to provide these services should be eligible to compete for funds.”

LAS VEGAS—I don’t know what I will be doing with my time four years from now. Maybe I’ll be in a house on the shore of Lake Superior writing a book that will sell modestly but receive glowing reviews. Maybe I will be playing pedal steel in a country-rock band. Maybe my family will move to Kenya. It is hard to say. Whatever it is, I hope it doesn’t include standing awkwardly in a loud and crowded room trying to ask people I dislike questions I know they can’t answer.
My first target—oops, does that sound too weaponized?—in the spin room at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Wednesday night was Cecile Richards, the CEO of what is ostensibly a nonprofit corporation, one whose business concerns include the abortion of children and the sale of their body parts. Richards was there acting as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton. As it happens, I had a paperback copy of Stephen King’sIT in my backpack. As I walked across the room toward the circle of about 10 journalists, most of them cameramen, asking Richards questions, I could not help recalling Pennywise’s words to the young Stan Uris: “I am the eater of worlds, and of children. And you are next!”
I clammed up for a moment, half expecting her suddenly to metamorphose into a giant bird or a mummy or a killer clown and soar into the air clutching a handful of colored balloons.
Instead she stood there with a knowing, slightly nasty smirk answering questions that I would describe as “softball” if I could do so without casting unfair aspersions on that noble pastime. I thought of Stan and Bev and Richie and Haystack and Eddie and Mike and Stuttering Bill. They would have wanted me to do something, even if it meant I would be carried off to a sewer and eaten myself.
I waited till she had finished ignoring a query from a Weekly Standard reporter and took my shot.
“Since abortion is a form of ritual sacrifice, is defending it an issue of religious freedom?” I asked.
“I’ve got, actually, an interview,” she said, refusing to make eye contact.
“Is it?” I said.
She walked away.
As far as I’m concerned, Trump did as bad a job Wednesday night as he ever has convincing pro-life voters, especially those at odds with him and the party about economic and other issues, that it’s worth their while to pull the lever for him. Compare his mealy-mouthed comments about letting the states decide abortion law with Carly Fiorina’s plain speaking last September: “I dare Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain. This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up in and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us.”
I honestly have no idea what Trump thinks about abortion, so, for the second time in my life, I tried to ask Katrina Pierson a question. Two other reporters interrupted me while I waited for my turn. Rather than be accused of making up spin-room quotes, I shall reproduce our illuminating exchange in full.
“So Gov. Pence has said over and over on the campaign trail that under a Trump-Pence White House abortion would be eradicated in the United States. But Mr. Trump seemed to suggest tonight that this is an issue he thinks should be left up to the states. What is the position of the campaign? What is Mr. Trump’s personal view?”
“Mr. Trump stated his personal view tonight. He doesn’t believe that the federal government should be making personal decisions like this.”
“So does he think that abortion is murder or killing?”
“Well, absolutely.”
“So murder is a personal decision?”
“We have people who want to protect trees but not babies. And I think when you take a baby out of the womb at nine months, I think you can call that murder. And Mr. Trump is simply saying that the federal government should not be in charge of those decisions and that the states should be.”
“But what about at one month? It’s true that the states put the murder statutes on the books, but murder is still illegal in all 50 states.”
Then communication began to break down.
“Lying to Congress is also illegal.”
“Would Mr. Trump like to see abortion illegal in all 50 states?”
“Lying to Congress is also illegal, but we see what happens there.”
“Right. But personally would Mr. Trump like to see abortion illegal in all 50 states?”
“What Mr. Trump would like to see is that decision being made by the people of the United States and not the Supreme Court.”
“So it’s up to the people of the United States to decide whether or not murder is legal?”
“For their states.”
“Okay. Thank you.”

(CNSNews.com) - CEO of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards says she doesn’t know at what point a baby receives constitutional rights.
On Tuesday, Doug Wagner ofWHO Newsradio in Iowa discussed Hillary Clinton’s view that constitutional rights for the unborn don’t exist. He then asked Richards her thoughts on the issue.
Wagner said, “At what point does that child - or that unborn person, fetus – whatever you want to call it – at what point does that baby get the constitutional rights?”
“Well, I don’t really, actually – I don’t know that there’s an exact answer for that,” Richards replied.
“Because what the point is (inaudible) that women have and there are, as you know, restrictions on women’s ability to terminate a pregnancy – and when they can, but until a pregnancy is viable they have the right to make that decision.”
“I think it really, honestly that’s not the problem we are facing in America,” Richards continued. “What we are facing in America is the fact that women in many states have fewer rights to access basic health care. And again, I think it’s really important that we be honest here about birth control.”

Eugenics Watch: Democratic Resolution Would Honor Planned Parenthood As 'Essential Thread In Fabric of Society'

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) introduced a resolution last week to “recognize the importance of Planned Parenthood’s contributions to women’s health care and reproductive rights in America over the last 100 years.”
The resolution voiced strong support for the nation’s largest abortion provider, declaring that “the organization remains an essential thread in the fabric of society, and it will be key in the next century to assisting millions of women, men, and young people in accessing the health care they need and deserve, no matter who they are or where they live.”
“Planned Parenthood should not be defunded, attacked, or discriminated against for their role as a vital women’s health care provider across the country,” the resolution stated.
It emphasized support for “the wide-ranging preventive services that Planned Parenthood Federation of America doctors, nurses, and staff provide every day to patients across the United States” and recognized “that Planned Parenthood is a safety-net provider that reaches medically underserved people who are critically in need of compassionate care.”
The organization will celebrate it’s 100th anniversary on October 16, and the resolution highlighted and celebrated this, noting that the first “birth control health clinic” founded by Margaret Sanger on October 16, 1916 was “founded on the idea that women should have the information and care they need to live strong, healthy lives and fulfill their dreams.”
The resolution stated that “Planned Parenthood health care providers and staff have played important roles in increasing access to safe and legal abortion, and have successfully advocated for measures that increase access to birth control, including the Affordable Care Act requirement that private insurance plans provide coverage for birth control with no-out of-pocket costs.”
The resolution also claimed that “breakthroughs in women’s health care, such as the legalization and expanded availability of birth control, have been named one of the biggest economic advancements for women in the past 100 years.”
“From Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine, this country is healthier because of Planned Parenthood,” Wyden said upon introducing the resolution. “My Democratic colleagues and I are going to keep working to make sure this bedrock health provider can keep serving people for the next 100 years.”
The resolution is cosponsored by 18 of Wyden’s Democratic colleagues in the Senate.

(b) Solicitation or acceptance of tissue as directed donation for use in transplantation
It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit or knowingly acquire, receive, or accept a donation of human fetal tissue for the purpose of transplantation of such tissue into another person if the donation affects interstate commerce, the tissue will be or is obtained pursuant to an induced abortion, and—
(1) the donation will be or is made pursuant to a promise to the donating individual that the donated tissue will be transplanted into a recipient specified by such individual;
(2) the donated tissue will be transplanted into a relative of the donating individual; or
(3) the person who solicits or knowingly acquires, receives, or accepts the donation has provided valuable consideration for the costs associated with such abortion.
(c) Solicitation or acceptance of tissue from fetuses gestated for research purposes
It shall be unlawful for any person or entity involved or engaged in interstate commerce to—
(1) solicit or knowingly acquire, receive, or accept a donation of human fetal tissue knowing that a human pregnancy was deliberately initiated to provide such tissue; or
(2) knowingly acquire, receive, or accept tissue or cells obtained from a human embryo or fetus that was gestated in the uterus of a nonhuman animal.
(d) Criminal penalties for violations
(1) In general
Any person who violates subsection (a), (b), or (c) shall be fined in accordance with title 18, subject to paragraph (2), or imprisoned for not more than 10 years, or both.
(2) Penalties applicable to persons receiving consideration
With respect to the imposition of a fine under paragraph (1), if the person involved violates subsection (a) or (b)(3), a fine shall be imposed in an amount not less than twice the amount of the valuable consideration received.
(e) Definitions
For purposes of this section:
(1) The term “human fetal tissue” has the meaning given such term in section 289g–1 (g) of this title.
(2) The term “interstate commerce” has the meaning given such term in section 321 (b) of title 21.
(3) The term “valuable consideration” does not include reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) introduced a resolution last week to “recognize the importance of Planned Parenthood’s contributions to women’s health care and reproductive rights in America over the last 100 years.”
The resolution voiced strong support for the nation’s largest abortion provider, declaring that “the organization remains an essential thread in the fabric of society, and it will be key in the next century to assisting millions of women, men, and young people in accessing the health care they need and deserve, no matter who they are or where they live.”
“Planned Parenthood should not be defunded, attacked, or discriminated against for their role as a vital women’s health care provider across the country,” the resolution stated.
It emphasized support for “the wide-ranging preventive services that Planned Parenthood Federation of America doctors, nurses, and staff provide every day to patients across the United States” and recognized “that Planned Parenthood is a safety-net provider that reaches medically underserved people who are critically in need of compassionate care.”
The organization will celebrate it’s 100th anniversary on October 16, and the resolution highlighted and celebrated this, noting that the first “birth control health clinic” founded by Margaret Sanger on October 16, 1916 was “founded on the idea that women should have the information and care they need to live strong, healthy lives and fulfill their dreams.”
The resolution stated that “Planned Parenthood health care providers and staff have played important roles in increasing access to safe and legal abortion, and have successfully advocated for measures that increase access to birth control, including the Affordable Care Act requirement that private insurance plans provide coverage for birth control with no-out of-pocket costs.”
The resolution also claimed that “breakthroughs in women’s health care, such as the legalization and expanded availability of birth control, have been named one of the biggest economic advancements for women in the past 100 years.”
“From Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine, this country is healthier because of Planned Parenthood,” Wyden said upon introducing the resolution. “My Democratic colleagues and I are going to keep working to make sure this bedrock health provider can keep serving people for the next 100 years.”
The resolution is cosponsored by 18 of Wyden’s Democratic colleagues in the Senate.

“We have no doubt that in 20 or 50 or 100 years, other societies and other civilizations will look back and will lump your organization in with the slave traders, the Nazis, the communists, all those groups that have always sought to oppress people,” said Fr. John Hollowell, a Catholic priest of the archdiocese of Indianapolis, in a video message to Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Hollowell uploaded the video to YouTube in February 2012, when Richards called for women to make videos with the tagline ‘I Have a Say,’ explaining why birth control is important to them.
The video has garnered 148,254 views, far more than Richards’ video, which has pulled in 37,573 views. The Catholic site Roman Catholic Man recently re-posted the video.
“I wanted to take her [Richards] up on the offer even though I’m not a woman, because I think that all people have a say in our country,” said Hollowell in the video.
“My parents chose sacrifice over selfishness, and because they chose to give me life, I do have a say,” he continued. “You, of course, have worked very hard to push the total number of those in our country who never had a chance to have a say well above the 50 million mark: those who have been victims of abortion.”
“You’ve also worked very hard to push that number even higher through, although you try to keep it secret, the number of those children who’ve been aborted through the use of contraception and the birth control pill,” said Hollowell. “Thanks to you, many never have had a say. But I do.”
Hollowell, a high school teacher as well as a priest, also discussed the attitude of youth toward Planned Parenthood.
“As an educator of young people, I can tell you that the pamphlets hanging from my door that link breast cancer with contraception, and the pamphlets that link abortion and contraception, and abortion and breast cancer, are flying off those doors faster than I can replace them,” he said.
“Our young people in our schools are devouring and want to know more, and are no longer content to be fed the lies that your organization continues to put out,” said Fr. Hollowell.
“Our young people are hungry for the truth, and our young people are hungry as well for the Church’s understanding of what authentic human sexuality looks like, and how to express that self-giving love and that self-sacrificial love in the sexual act that takes place,” he said.
“We have no doubt that in 20 or 50 or 100 years, other societies and other civilizations will look back and will lump your organization in with the slave traders, the Nazis, the communists, all those groups that have always sought to oppress people,” said the priest.
Fr. Hollowell then challenges Richards and Planned Parenthood to a “battle” with the Catholic Church.
“I have a say, and we have a say, and I say this,” remarks Fr. Hallowell. “The Catholic Church has certainly been humbled in recent decades through the sins and crimes of some of our priests and bishops and other people acting in the name of the Church,” he remarks.
“I have this to say, though: You better knock us out now,” he says. “You and the president, in seeking to silence the Church, seeking to silence those who also believe that they have a say--you and the president better knock us out right now. Because Cecile, I can promise you, here comes the Catholic Church.”
“Our seminaries and our convents are bursting at the seams, at least those convents that have not bought in to your agenda of the culture of death and the lies that you seek to spread,” says Fr. Hollowell.
“Our convents and our seminaries are exploding at the seams with young people ready to spread the love, to satiate that thirst that our young people have for authentic teaching, for truth, who are no longer content to be fed by your lies,” he says. “The young people who have seen a third of their generation wiped out by abortion, our generations now coming into service in the Church, will not be swayed by your lies and your half-truths.”
“Cecile, I can promise you, here comes the Catholic Church,” says the young priest. “you, and the president, and this mainstream media have awakened a sleeping giant. Cecile, here comes the Catholic Church.”
“We’ve gone long enough and were going to get it on,” says the priest, “because we don’t get along, as Muhammed Ali once said. And as J.R.R. Tolkein, the famous Catholic novelist once noted, the board is set, the pieces are now in motion, at last we come to it, the great battle of our age.”“You and your organization have set yourself up as a sworn enemy of our faith from the very beginning,” he says, “from your foundress Margaret Sanger, who interestingly, we never hear much about from you. We would think that an organization would actually be proud of their founders. I wonder why you aren’t.”
“But we have heard from her, Margaret Sanger, all the way through to you,” he relates. “We have seen that you are a sworn enemy of the Catholic Church. You have set yourself in direct opposition to us. And, while that battle may have gone on quietly in the shadows in the past, our two sides now step into the ring. The gloves are off, we step into the spotlight, ready to do battle with one another.”
Hollowell was accused [in] of “anti-gay indoctrination” by gay rights activists in 2011 for teaching his students what the Catholic Church teaches about sexuality. He was the executive producer of a crowd-sourced documentary on the Church’s teachings on homosexuality called ‘The Third Way,’ and he also blogs, writes, and runs a YouTube channel.

Hillary,the Queen of Clueless Calls For Ending Gun Deaths At Planned Parenthood, America's Top GOVT Funded Baby Killer

(CNSNews.com) -- In a speech today before the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the political arm of the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton said “we need to come together to stop the epidemic of gun violence,” noting that “33,000 Americans are killed every year” by gun violence.
According to its 2014-2015 annual report, Planned Parenthood performed 323,999 abortions in its fiscal cycle for that year. It also received $553.7 million in “government health service grants and reimbursements.
“We need to come together to stop the epidemic of gun violence that is stalking our country,” said Hillary Clinton.
“No parent should live in fear that their child will be hurt or killed by gun violence,” she said. “33,000 Americans are killed every year.”
“I’ve met so many mothers on this campaign who have lost their own children,” said Clinton. “We owe it to them to protect our kids, no matter what zip code they live in.”
“And that is going to require standing up to the gun lobby, and making this a voting issue,” she said.
Hillary Clinton, wife of former President Bill Clinton, was the Secretary of State under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2013. She is currently seeking to win the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.
The Guttmacher Institute estimates that 53 million babies have been killed by abortion in the United States since 1973, when Roe v. Wade legalized abortion nationwide.
