By Patrick Goodenough | January 19, 2017 | 4:18 AM EST
(CNSNews.com) – Republican lawmakers on Wednesday introduced yet another bill targeting United Nations funding, this time including a special focus on the U.N. Human Rights Council’s heavily anti-Israel agenda.
The bill introduced by Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) aims to combat what they describe as “systematic bias and targeting of the Jewish state of Israel at the United Nations.”
It calls specifically for U.S. funding to be withheld until the president certifies that no U.N. agency or affiliated agency grants official status or recognition to any organization promoting or condoning anti-Semitism.
American taxpayers account for 22 percent of the regular budget of the U.N., plus almost 29 percent of the separate peacekeeping budget. The U.S. additionally provides billions of dollars more each year in “voluntary contributions” to a spread of U.N. agencies, ranging from the International Atomic Energy Agency to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
Under the new legislation, the Geneva-based Human Rights Council would be deprived of U.S. funding until it drops a permanent agenda item focusing on Israel and the Palestinian territories.
As CNSNews.com has reported, Israel is the only country out of 192 U.N. member-states that is the subject of a permanent item on the HRC’s agenda.
The item’s existence means that Israel is routinely condemned at every regular month-long HRC session – three times a year – irrespective of what crises and conflicts may be occurring anywhere else in the world.
When the HRC in 2011 held a review of its first five years in operation, the Obama administration sought to have the Israel agenda item removed. Although the move was unsuccessful, the administration chose not to vote against the final review report that left the item intact.
The Rubio-Cotton legislation says that until the secretary of state can certify that the Israel-centric item has been removed from the HRC agenda, the U.S. will be neither able to fund, nor run for a seat on, the council.
Also in the crosshairs is UNRWA, which has been dogged over recent years by allegations about associations with Hamas, and staff members’ posting of anti-Semitic messages on social media.
Established after the 1948 war launched by Arab nations against the newly-declared state of Israel, UNRWA is the only U.N. agency to deal exclusively with one group of refugees. The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees is responsible for refugees from all other parts of the world.
The U.S. has long been UNRWA’s largest bilateral donor, providing it with $380.5 million in 2015. Since 1950, American taxpayers have accounted for more $4 billion in contributions to UNRWA.
In their bill, Rubio and Cotton make future U.S. funding for UNRWA contingent on the secretary of state certifying that no UNRWA official, employee, consultant, contractor (etc.) is a member of Hamas or any other U.S.-designated terrorist group; or has “propagated, disseminated, or incited anti-Israel, or anti-Semitic rhetoric or propaganda.”
Further, the secretary must certify that no UNRWA school, hospital or other facility is being used by Hamas or affiliated terror groups for operations, training, recruitment or fundraising
It also calls for independent audits to ensure no UNRWA resources are being diverted to Hamas or other terror groups.
“This bill simply puts into law what should be common sense,” Cotton said Wednesday. “Americans’ tax dollars should not fund anti-Semitic activities or nefarious efforts to undermine the legitimacy of Israel.”
“For too long, the world's worst actors have used the United Nations as a forum to point an accusatory finger at Israel and deflect from their own failings,” Cotton added. “That will stop only when America leads, stands on principle, and uses its considerable leverage to force true reform at the United Nations.”
Rubio said it was time the U.N. was “held accountable for targeting and singling out Israel while countries that actually threaten international peace and security – like Russia and China – go unchallenged.”
Other pieces of legislation already introduced in Congress this month seek to prohibit either assessed or voluntary U.S. funding for the U.N. – or both – or to tie future such funding to specific actions by the world body or to funding reports by the administration.
One, introduced by Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) last week, would cut off all U.S. funding to the U.S. until last month’s U.N. Security Council resolution condemning Israel is repealed.
Another bill, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act introduced by Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), calls for an outright U.S. withdrawal from the U.N.
The Pew Research Center reported last fall that only 43 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of the U.N., compared to 80 percent of Democrats – the largest margin between the two measured by Pew in the 27 years it has polled the issue.
Thank You Mr Goodenough and CNS.

Ted Cruz Responds To Democrat Hypocrisy At Jeff Sessions Confirmation Hearing: Kills It With Fire.
Conservative Review
During Senator Jeff Sessions’, R-Ala. (C,78%) Attorney General confirmation hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex. (A, 97%) pointed out numerous Democratic hypocrisies that have been manifested in the past few years and during the hearing.
Democrats on the committee, especially Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. (F, 0%) had been grilling Sessions on whether he would uphold abortion laws in the United States if he becomes Attorney General. Senator Patrick Leahy, D, Vt. (F, 6%) interrogated Sessions on LGBT rights, questioning whether Sessions would uphold civil rights laws as Attorney General.
But did the Democrats care when Obama routinely flouted the law?
Ted Cruz wasn’t having it:
“When the Obama Justice Department sent millions of dollars of taxpayer money to sanctuary cities defying federal immigration law, the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration refused to enforce federal immigration law…the Democrats on this committee were silent. When the Obama administration released tens of thousands of illegal aliens including rapists and murderers into the general population, Democrats on this committee were silent.”
Ted Cruz was kicking ass. And he wasn’t done. He pointed out Democratic hypocritical silence on Obama flouting the law and paying a ransom to Iran and for releasing Guantanamo terrorists without congressional approval.
Senator Cruz’s comments were met with acclaim from conservatives on Twitter:

Ted Cruz Introduces Bill To Designate The Muslim Brotherhood A Terrorist Organization
weaselzippers

Time to call a spade a spade.
Via Ted Cruz:
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today reintroduced two bills, alongside Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Florida) respectively, that will protect Americans from the threat of radical Islamic terror, directing the State Department to hold accountable both the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Muslim Brotherhood, two foreign entities that espouse a violent Islamist ideology with a mission of destroying the West.
Both bills require a report on whether these organizations meet the criteria to be designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and if so, will enable the U.S. to take action that could stifle the funding they receive to promote their terrorist activities.

Titularly, this is a blog about Psychiatry.
If and when you open the case files for the uninitiate you run the not inconsiderable risk of being marginalized by being accused of being a Scientologist.
For all of the negative press COS has gotten, we have not seen Scientologists killing 49 people in a gay nightclub so they can get into heaven to collect their 72 Operating Thetans.
Neither have we seen them corrupting the FDA, the DOJ, and committing wholesale criminal financial fraud against medicare, medicaid and tricare.
Are we in any way affiliated with COS?
No.
Does COS get a tax break as an organized church/religion?
We do not know, and do not care.

What The Media Isn't Telling You About Ted Cruz's Refusal To Meet With A Muslim Group, & His Result Act, To Further Unfetter The FDA
redstate
By: Brandon Morse | April 19th, 2016 at 02:30 PM
If you’re going to voice complaints that an American politician won’t meet with you, you should probably check to see if you’re an organization that supports terrorism first. CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) failed to do this, and are now wondering why Ted Cruz wouldn’t take time out of his day to sit down with them.
It’s likely because Cruz has far better things to do than meet with terrorist sympathizers. Things like, for instance, anything else. However, by the way the International Business Times, the Dallas Morning News, and RawStory tell it, you would think Cruz was blowing off Muslims because he’s just a bad person like that, and often citing his comments about patrolling Muslim neighborhoods.
A fun game I like to play is going to articles like those above, hitting ctrl+f, and typing in the word “Hamas.” If it doesn’t appear in an article revolving around CAIR, then you can be sure it’s only telling you a fraction of the story. Allow me to fill in the blanks for you.
Alia Salem, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of CAIR, stated that she had been trying to get a meeting with Cruz’s staff for weeks, but couldn’t get anything solidified.
Salem stated that her group “traveled all the way from North Texas to come and meet with our elected officials. I know they have things they have to do, but what I’m concerned about is the complete and utter shutdown, not finding one legislative aide to meet with us.”
“It’s important to mention that all of our representatives have attempted to meet with us.” said Salem, in a statement. “There have been scheduling conflicts. This is the only office that outright declined to meet with us, which is indicative of his behavior in the media as well,”
This is for good reason. The Texas chapter of CAIR has been in trouble for being a little too friendly to terrorists in the past. The founder of the state chapter was found guilty, along with his brothers, of helping fund the terrorist group, Hamas, through the use of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. The group was convicted of no less than 108 charges, and found guilty for every single one.
CAIR itself has a checkered past of being friendly toward terrorism, who called Cruz “Islmophobic” in the past for simply saying that muslim neighborhoods need to be patrolled like any other neighborhood. Cruz didn’t like the idea of Muslim neighborhoods becoming radicalized terrorist recruitment centers, which is something the residents agreed upon. CAIR, however, had different ideas.
As Kyle Shideler writes at the Federalist on this,
CAIR is notorious for urging Muslim community members not to talk to law enforcement. In 2009, while Somali residents of Minneapolis were desperate for law enforcement assistance in dealing with imams recruiting their children for the terrorist group Al Shabaab, CAIR intervened.
So it’s absolutely no surprise that Cruz doesn’t want to meet with CAIR, or any branch of its organization. What the media is not telling you, however, is that Cruz is just not meeting with that Muslim organization. In the past, Cruz has enthusiastically met with Muslims such as Abdirahman Warsame, of the group Terror Free Somalia.
“He asked me to schedule a meeting. I made some phone calls to Senators and Congressmen. The only person who came back to me with short notice was Senator Ted Cruz,” said Warsame.
[Ed: Tweets and such in original at Redstate between these paragraphs]
Notice the difference between Salem’s and Warsame’s comments regarding Cruz? Cruz was the only candidate that refused to meet with CAIR, but Cruz was the only candidate to immediately respond to Warsame, and meet with him.
So the idea that Ted Cruz won’t meet with Muslim groups is a fabrication. He’s more than willing to, but he’s not going to meet, and validate any organization who recruits, and uses children as human shields, is responsible for more than a few suicide bombings, and more.
Why the media is leaving all this out is still beyond me, but in terms of who is in the wrong, it’s not Cruz.
Thank You Mr Morse and Redstate.
"he’s not going to meet, and validate any organization who recruits, and uses children as human shields, is responsible for more than a few suicide bombings, and more."
Way to Go Ted, . . however, . . . when it comes to organizations using children, causing them to suicide, is responsible for Mass Murders, . . .
We're thinking Senators Cruz and Lee were looking for GOP establishment $ with this stunt, but we're not holding our breath that Cruz and Lee will back out on Pharma somewhere down the road.
FDA would have been required, subject to Congressional override, to approve for sale in the U.S. . . .
"Consider thalidomide. In 1956, the drug was approved in several European countries as a sleeping pill, and was also prescribed for morning sickness. But the medicine was later found responsible for thousands of babies born with malformed limbs. Thankfully, an FDA reviewer refused to approve thalidomide, and the drug never entered the US market. Imagine what might have ensued if the agency had taken the approach Cruz envisions."
Thank You Mr Silverman.
Sorry Ted, but did you Ever step in it with the Result Act.
FDA doesn't need to be further empowered to whore for Pharma.
FDA Now Officially Belongs To Big Pharma
What it needs is a non partisan DOJ to serve it a major, prosecutorial enema.

WHO Are These Mass Shooters?
Townhall
San Bernadino Shooter Unknown: Here Are Some Past Mass Shooters
Ann Coulter | Dec 02, 2015
In response to Robert Dear Jr.'s murder of three people at a Colorado Springs shopping mall last week, The New York Times exulted:
"Even as politicians and those in Congress pump up public
fears at the supposed threat of refugees fleeing Syria, every day in America
people -- mostly white men -- are walking into movie theaters, restaurants,
churches, grade schools and health care centers armed to the teeth, determined
to take as many people out as they can."
Mostly white men???
I know it didn't happen here, but is the Times really going to ignore the murder of 130 people in Paris two weeks ago?
Here at home, an Oregon Community College was shot up in October -- by a mixed-race, half-black immigrant, Chris Harper-Mercer. Nine people were killed. It's hard to remember every sensational crime, but that was just two months ago.
Last year, another mixed-race immigrant, Elliot Rodger, committed mass murder at a sunny college campus in Santa Barbara, killing twice as many people as Robert Dear did -- in half the time! That seemed like a pretty big story to me, but the media passed over it pretty quickly. The Times has airbrushed it from history.
In 2013, two Chechen immigrants -- also allegedly fleeing persecution -- blew up the Boston Marathon.
In 2012, Haitian immigrant Kesler Dufrene murdered as many people in Miami as Robert Dear did in Colorado Springs. One of Dufrene's victims was a 15-year-old girl. Dufrene had already been convicted of a felony in the United States, so he should have been deported, but our "Deporter in Chief" Obama had blocked his return to Haiti. As the murdered girl's mother said, "Because of immigration, my daughter is not alive."
Have you ever heard of Dufrene? I don't think his murders got as much press as the "Planned Parenthood" shooting.
I'm sure you've heard of Jared Loughner. But have you ever heard of Eduardo Sencion?
In 2011, nine months after Loughner's shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona, Sencion, a Mexican immigrant, shot up a Carson City, Nevada, IHOP, killing four Americans, including three National Guardsmen and a 67-year old woman.
Eduardo was a Mexican immigrant. The Times ran two stories on his mass murder -- on Pages 17 and 18. By contrast, Loughner's shooting got dozens of write-ups in the Times, including at least three front-page articles, three editorials and 10 op-eds.
The media are tickled pink whenever they have a white perpetrator because it happens so rarely in a country that is majority white.
In 2009 -- the same year that model second-generation immigrant Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood -- model first-generation Vietnamese immigrant Jiverly Wong shot and killed 13 people in Binghamton, New York, because he was upset that people disrespected his English skills.
Who holds the record for the deadliest shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history, you ask? That would be Korean immigrant, Seung-Hui Cho, with 32 murders in a matter of hours at Virginia Tech in 2007.
The Times cheered anti-gun advocate Carolyn McCarthy's election to Congress, but today, the paper seems to have forgotten the event that propelled her there: the 1993 Long Island Railroad massacre that left six passengers dead, including McCarthy's husband.
That mass shooting was committed by a Jamaican immigrant, Colin Ferguson.
It hasn't even been a week, and the Times has already run more than a dozen articles on the shooting at a Colorado Springs shopping mall. Hey -- everybody remember the wall-to-wall coverage of the mass shooting at a Salt Lake City shopping mall in 2007? Five people were killed.
Here's a clue: Two days after the attack, the Times ran an article titled, "Anti-Bosnian Backlash Is Feared in Utah." (The killer: Bosnian immigrant Sulejman Talovic.)
After Mexican immigrant Salvador Tapia slaughtered six employees at the Windy City Core Supply warehouse in Chicago in 2003, the Times plastered the story all over -- one article on Page 14 of the late edition. The Washington Post also ran one.
The media use their own lack of coverage as proof that mass murder by non-whites almost never happens. It's exactly what they're doing to Donald Trump over his claim that a lot of Muslims celebrated the 9/11 attack.
At the time, normal people were enraged that the media refused to cover the Muslim reaction to 9/11, all while lavishing endless column inches on a non-existent "backlash" against Muslims.
But now these journalist-referees turn around and insist that the only acceptable proof that Muslims cheered the 9/11 attack is the existence of the very media coverage that they obstinately refused to provide.
There's a reason most people trust their own recollections over media reports.
After 20 years of nearly non-stop mass murder by non-white immigrants in a country that is still majority white, our media have the audacity to claim that tens of thousands of Syrian Muslims are less dangerous than the most pacific human beings in world history: 21st-century white American men.

Dave's Top 10 Reasons To Vote For Ted Cruz
pj media
BY DAVID P. GOLDMAN NOVEMBER 24, 2015
A month ago I predicted a Cruz-Rubio ticket. Now that Cruz has overtaken Carson to run neck-and-neck with Trump in the Iowa Quinnipiac University poll, Cruz is looking a lot like a winner. Here are my top 10 reasons to back him.
10. He really knows economics--not the ideologically-driven pablum dished out at universities, but the real battlefield of entrenched monopolies against entrepreneurial upstarts. As Aweesh Agarwal and John Delacourt reported in this space, he did a brilliant job at the Federal Trade Commission: "Cruz promoted economic liberty and fought government efforts to rig the marketplace in favor of special interests. Most notably, Cruz launched an initiative to study the government’s role in conspiring with established businesses to suppress e-commerce. This initiative ultimately led the U.S. Supreme Court to open up an entire industry to small e-tailers." Anyone can propose tax cuts. It takes real know-how to cut through the regulatory kudzu that is strangling America enterprise.
9. He really knows foreign policy. He is a hardline defender of American interests, but wants to keep American politics out of the export business. That's why neo-conservatives like Jennifer Rubin at the Washington Post and Kimberly Strassel at the Wall Street Journal keep sliming him. The Bushies started attacking Cruz a year ago, when he stated the obvious about the Bush administration's great adventure in "democratic globalism": "I think we stayed too long, and we got far too involved in nation-building…. We should not be trying to turn Iraq into Switzerland." He's not beholden to the bunglers of the Bush administration, unlike the hapless Marco Rubio.
8. He really knows the political system. As Texas Solicitor General he argued nine cases before the US Supreme Court and won five of them. How many other lawyers in the United States have gone to the Supreme Court nine times on points of Constitutional law? The best write-up I've seen on brilliance as a Constitutional lawyer came from the liberal New Yorker--grudging praise, but praise nevertheless. Some of his legal work was brilliant, displaying a refined understanding of separation of powers and federalism. If you want a president who knows the mechanism of American governance from the inside, there's no-one else who comes close to Cruz.
7. He's an outsider, and America needs an outsider. The public thinks that Washington is corrupt, and it IS corrupt. The banks are corrupt, the defense industries (with their $1.5 trillion budget for a new fighter plane that won't fly) is corrupt, the tech companies (run by patent trolls rather than engineers) are corrupt, the public utilities are corrupt. The American people want a new broom. But it helps to put it in the hands of someone who knows his way around the broom closet.
6. Trump and Carson aren't serious candidates. Carson is an endearing fellow who has no business running for president: apart from his medical specialty, his knowledge of the world is an audodidact's jumble of fact and fantasy. Donald Trump inherited money and ran a family business: never in his life did he have to persuade shareholders, investors, directors, or anyone else to work with him. At best, he knew how to cajole and threaten. It's been his way or the highway since he was a kid, and that's the worst possible training for a US president.
5. Cruz is in but not of the system. The distinguished conservative scholar Robert P. George mentored him at Princeton and the flamboyant (but effective) liberal Alan Dershowitz taught him at Harvard Law School. Both agree he was the smartest student they ever had. An Ivy League education isn't important unless, of course, you don't have one: to run the United States, it helps to have dwelt in the belly of the beast. Cruz came through the elite university mill with his principles intact, and a keen understanding of the liberal mentality.
4. He's got real grit--call it fire in the belly, but Cruz wants to be president and wants us to want him to be president. Determination is a lot more important than charm, where Cruz won't win first prize. When it comes down to it, Americans don't want a charming president, but a smart, tough and decent one. Marco Rubio, the Establishment's last hope after Jeb Bush's belly-flop, is instantly recognizeable as the tough-guy hero's cute younger brother. Either Cruz or Fiorina would fill out the ticket.
3. He knows how to run a real campaign as opposed to a flash-in-the-pan media event. Cruz has boots on the ground, an organization of people who believe in him and raise money at twice the rate of Rubio--with an averge $66 donation.
2. He's a true believer in the United States of America. His love for his country and belief in its prospects are impassioned and unfeigned. He's ambitious, but his ambition stems from a desire to serve, where he believes that he is uniquely qualified to serve.
And the top reason to vote for Ted Cruz is:
He can beat Hillary Clinton. Not just beat her, but beat her by a landslide. Mrs. Clinton isn't that smart. She looks sort of smart smart when the media toss her softballs, but in a series of one-to-one, nowhere-to-hide Presidential debates, Cruz would shred her. Cruz was the top college debater in the country. He knows how to assemble facts, stay on message, anticipate his opponent's moves and neutralize them. He's a quarter-century younger than Mrs. Clinton, smarter, sharper, and better prepared. He's also clean as a whistle in personal life and finances, while the Clintons could reasonably be understood to constitute a criminal enterprise.
Thank You Mr Goldman and PJ media.

The intelligence officials spoke on condition of anonymity before announcements from authorities. The death of the Belgian extremist Abaaoud closed one major dragnet in the international search for suspects from Friday’s carnage that killed at least 129 people and wounded 350 others. And if you missed the terror attack/s in Paris, here you go:“America must stand with our allies against the scourge of radical Islamic terrorism. This is an evil that does not discriminate between French, German or American, Christian, Muslim or Jew, soldier, football player, or concert goer. Their only goal is to murder those who do not submit to their vicious, totalitarian ideology. Our deepest condolences go out to our French allies, and I know the government of the United States stands by to offer any assistance necessary.“We must now face the facts. Between the downing of the Russian jet over Egypt and this massive coordinated attack on Paris, we are seeing an unmistakable escalation of ISIS’ ambitions and the scale of their terrorist attacks outside Syria and Iraq. Even as chaos rages in Paris, we need to take immediate, commonsense steps to preserve our own safety. We need to consult closely with our NATO allies who may be targeted for additional attacks. We need to immediately declare a halt to any plans to bring refugees that may have been infiltrated by ISIS to the United States. We need to redouble our efforts to prevent ISIS agents from penetrating our nation by other means.“Such steps, however, are defensive reactions to an enemy that will continue to try to attack us until they succeed once again. We must immediately recognize that our enemy is not ‘violent extremism.’ It is the radical Islamism that has declared jihad against the west. It will not be appeased by outreach or declarations of tolerance. It will not be deterred by targeted airstrikes with zero tolerance for civilian casualties, when the terrorists have such utter disregard for innocent life. We must make it crystal clear that affiliation with ISIS and related terrorist groups brings with it the undying enmity of America—that it is, in effect, signing your own death warrant.”

High Hilarity? CAIR Gives Ben Carson A Copy Of The Koran To Dispel "Any Misconceptions About Islam"
How does one accuse an Islamist Supremacist Group of Weaponized Chutzpah?
weaselzippers
Which begs the obvious question: Has CAIR read the Koran?

Which begs the obvious question: Has CAIR read the Koran?
Thank You Zip.
So long as a Candidate swears to, and Does uphold the Constitution over whatever personal religious beliefs they hold, . . . like Sharia Law, adhering to, giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States such as ISIS, A-Q, etc.
Via Washington Post:
Responding to Ben Carson’s opposition to a Muslim president, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) said it would be unconstitutional to prohibit someone from being president because of their religion. But he also said the Obama administration’s plan to allow tens of thousands of Muslim refugees from Syria into the U.S. is “crazy.”Carson, one of Cruz’s opponents in the crowded GOP presidential primary field, has said he “would not advocate putting a Muslim in charge of this nation;” Cruz said that the Constitution does not allow a specific religion to be a qualification for the presidency.
This is why Ted Cruz is the one candidate who gets it right.
And This is one of the funniest turn arounds on CAIR.
Will CAIR now be publicly supporting Senator Cruz for President?
Will pigs be flying on the evening news?
Thank You Nick.

Ted Cruz: McConnell Blocked Amendments For Kate's Law And Funding Planned Parenthood
weaselzippers
Thank You Senator Cruz, Mark Levin, Breitbart, and Nick.
Why does the Obama program of fail succeed? Because of the full-bore RINOs that support him at every turn.
Via Breitbart:
Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)said that Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) blocked amendments to defund Planned Parenthood, end the Congressional exemption to Obamacare and for Kate’s Law on Friday’s “Mark Levin Show.”Cruz, after re-iterating his charges that McConnell lied about whether there was a deal regarding Trade Promotion Authority and the Export-Import Bank, stated, “Now, let me tell you all the amendments Mitch McConnell blocked because he wants to reauthorize this corporate welfare and cronyism. He blocked my amendment to defund Planned Parenthood. In the wake of these gruesome videos, where they appear to admit to multiple felonies, we should be defunding them, and we should defund them this week. He blocked my amendment to repeal the Congressional exception from Obamacare. He doesn’t want a vote on that. It’s another of example of cronyism, [Sen.] Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and the Obama administration exempted Congress from the plain language from Obamacare. He blocked amendments to end sanctuary cities, to cut off funding. He blocked my amendment for Kate’s Law, mandatory minimum five years for an illegal alien convicted of illegal re-entry. And he blocked also my amendment saying that no Iranian sanctions can be lifted unless and until Iran recognizes Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, and releases the four American hostages they’re holding.”He added that all of those are issues that matter to the American people, but they “don’t matter to the lobbyists in Washington.” Cruz also pointed to a tweet sent by Reid praising McConnell’s action on the Export-Import Bank before declaring, “It’s one party, it’s the McConnell-Reid leadership team, and they fight for the same priorities.” Cruz added that everything the new Republican Congress has done so far is “exactly what Harry Reid would have done” and wondered how the GOP leadership’s and Democratic leadership’s priorities differed.
Thank You Senator Cruz, Mark Levin, Breitbart, and Nick.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100% used the “L” word and he used it in a speech on the Senate floor:
“What we just saw today was an absolute demonstration that not only what he told every Republican senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again, was a simple lie,” Cruz said Friday morning. “We know now that when the majority leader looks us in the eyes and makes an explicit commitment, that he is willing to say things that he knows are false. That has consequences for how this body operates.”Firebrand Republican senator and presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100%on Friday rushed across a line rarely crossed on the Senate floor: He accused the leader of his party, Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) 59%, of lying to his colleagues.
What brought this on was McConnell going back on his word about allowing reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank to act like a baracle on the Highway Bill and McConnell’s chutzpah is offering yet another meaningless vote on repealing ObamaCare.
That move incensed Cruz — who had announced his intention to offer other amendments, and who, like many conservatives, strongly opposes the bank’s reauthorization, though it enjoys support from a supermajority of his Senate colleagues. While McConnell has personally spoken against Ex-Im reauthorization, Democrats said in June he had agreed to schedule an Ex-Im vote in order to get highly divisive trade legislation passed. But McConnell at the time denied that any deal had been struck, and Cruz said Friday the same assurance was given in a private Republican conference meeting:We had a Senate Republican lunch where I stood up and I asked the majority leader very directly, what was the deal that was just cut on [trade legislation, and was there a deal for the Export-Import Bank? It was a direct question. I asked the majority leader in front of all the Republican senators. The majority leader was visibly angry with me that I would ask such a question, and the majority leader looked at me and said, “There is no deal, there is no deal, there is no deal.”“Like Saint Peter, he repeated it three times,” Cruz added.
On the bogus vote offered on ObamaCare:
Cruz, a famously fierce opponent of the Affordable Care Act, was also not at all mollified by McConnell’s move to bring up a repeal vote — the first time that GOP priority has come to the Senate floor this year.In his speech Friday, Cruz called it “empty showmanship.”“We’ll have a vote on repealing Obamacare,” he said. “The Republicans will all vote yes; the Democrats will all vote no. It will be at a 60-vote threshold. It will fail. It will be an exercise in meaningless political theater.”
He also compared Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) 59% to
Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) 8%. The man is awesome.
This is long overdue. McConnell is a duplicitous bag of pus. He epitomizes what is wrong with the Republican party. If we can’t get rid of a useless relic and an monument of crony capitalism like the Ex-Im Bank, what are the chances of restraining the growth of government much less contemplate reducing its size.Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) 8%. The man is awesome.
