MSM Gives Christie Bridge Scandal 17 TIMES MORE COVERAGE In One Day Than IRS Scandal In 6 Months UPDATE: Now 44 Times As Much Coverage

weaselzippers;
MSM Gives Christie Bridge Scandal 17 TIMES MORE COVERAGE In One Day Than IRS Scandal In 6 Months UPDATE: Now 44 Times As Much Coverage

Why yes, liberal media bias is a myth.
In less than 24 hours, the big three networks have devoted 17 times more coverage to a traffic scandal involving Chris Christie than they’ve allowed in the last six months to Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service controversy. Since the story broke on Wednesday that aides to the New Jersey governor punished a local mayor’s lack of endorsement with a massive traffic jam, ABC, CBS and NBC have responded with 34 minutes and 28 seconds of coverage. Since July 1, these same networks managed a scant two minutes and eight seconds for the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.
In contrast, journalists such as Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos pounced on the developing Christie story. The GMA host opened the program on Thursday by announcing, “Chris Christie in crisis. Calls at this hour for the feds to step in, investigate the explosive e-mails.”
Update: The media turns on its favorite pet RINO.
In less than 48 hours, ABC, CBS and NBC deluged viewers with coverage of Chris Christie’s traffic jam scandal, devoting a staggering 88 minutes to the story. In comparison, these same news outlets over the last six months have allowed a scant two minutes for the latest on Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service scandal. The disparity in less than two days is 44-to-one. [See a chart below.]
From Wednesday through Friday morning, the latest on Christie’s Traffic-Gate led 11 out of 13 news programs. NBC produced the heaviest coverage, over 34 minutes. CBS followed close behind with more than 30 minutes. ABC came in third with just under 23 minutes.

Anybody else find it interesting that the WH chose this particular moment in time to FIRE CGI, the $643 Million Clowns who built Healthcare.gov, And Hire ANOTHER Co. with a similarly distinguished record of Fraud for Another $90 Million to fix the 1rst $643 Million Dollar rip off, . . . As their media lapdogs are positively frothing at the mouth to tear a piece off of a pet RINO?

Obamunist/MSM stunts like this are not coincidence.

Irony Alert: DailyKos Blogger's Premiums Double Under ObamaCare

Irony Alert: DailyKos Blogger's Premiums Double Under ObamaCare

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
My wife and I just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are generally healthy people who don’t go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The insurance is in case of a major catastrophe.
Well, now, because of Obamacare, my wife’s rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.
I am canceling insurance for us and I am not paying any [expletive]penalty. What the hell kind of reform is this?
Oh, ok, if we qualify, we can get some government assistance. Great. So now I have to jump through another hoop to just chisel some of this off. And we don’t qualify, anyway, so what’s the point?
Thank You Zip.

Dear Bot, We haven't run any Big Hair music for some time, so here's a consolation prize just for you and your fellow Obamabots:

The Horror! The Horror! If The Govt Shuts Down, The National Zoo's Panda Cam Will Go Down!

WaPo Warns of Potential Catastrophe if Govt Shuts Down: The National Zoo's Panda Cam Will Go Down!

No, No, Nooooooo! anything but the Panda Cam!

Noooooo! Not the panda cam!
Via WaPo:
You can watch the National Zoo’s yet un-named female panda cub be nursed by her mother Mei Xiang right now on the zoo’s panda cam. Go do it, I’ll wait. But if congressional leaders are unable to come to an agreement to avoid a government shutdown, the roughly half of federal employees who will be affected won’t even have the solace of watching the panda cub to distract them from their lack of paychecks.
The zoo announced on Twitter that the all live animal cams would go dark during a shutdown, along with in real life public options.

Thank You WaPo and Zip.

OFA (Obamabots) Unable To Draw A Single Protestor To GOP Congressman's Townhall

weaselzippers;
OFA (Obamabots) Unable To Draw A Single Protestor To GOP Congressman's Townhall

Heh…
ALLOWAY, N.J. (WTSP) – Republican Rep. Frank LoBiondo represents a South Jersey congressional district with a sizable Hispanic population, farmlands that employ migrant workers, an influential labor union presence and a constituency that voted twice for President Obama.
He’s precisely the kind of GOP lawmaker immigration advocates said they would target over the August recess, when members of Congress return home for the longest stretch of the year.
But at a local Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting and a Rotary Club luncheon on Thursday, immigration was never mentioned.
The 10-term incumbent met with constituents in open forums where he fielded questions on the economy, the implementation of Obama’s health care law, unrest in the Middle East and even how to improve local infrastructure to ease traffic to the Jersey shore.
It’s not because advocates aren’t trying. LoBiondo has not staked out any hard-line positions on immigration, and his is one of 17 congressional districts the House Democrats’ campaign operation said they would target on immigration in August with “media tactics, messaging amplification and community outreach,” according to a memo.
Last week, Organizing for Action, an outside political group promoting Obama’s agenda, used its local New Jersey Twitter account in an effort to organize supporters to appear at a LoBiondo event in Cape May to show support for an immigration overhaul. Jason Galanes, LoBiondo’s spokesman, notified event organizers and local police that protesters might be in attendance. It was not necessary. “No one showed up,” Galanes said.

Thank You WTSP and Zip.
Even the Obamabots are depressed. They Got what they wanted in Obama, Exactly what they wanted, and in being implemented it's dragging the entire Country down in Ruin.
They have Nothing to celebrate, They have Nothing to shout about.
Their Guy has done Everything They believed would bring about Utopia.
It certainly took them long enough to come to the party.

HHS Looks To Celebs, Pro Sports To Promote ObamaCare

And as Everybody knows, you just can't get a job in Hollywood or the NBA without a PhD in Economics, Medical Science, Crony Capitalism, the works of Karl Marx, and World History.

Just ask Lindsay Lohan about the talent pool in her neck of the woods. She'll tell you all about how well qualified they are.

HHS Looks To Celebs, Professional Sports To Promote Healthcare Reform
June 26, 2013 | By

With deadlines for healthcare reform implementation quickly approaching, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services is ramping up promotional efforts and calling on the help of some famous faces.

This week, HHS kicked off its healthcare insurance exchange education efforts, re-launching the healthcare.gov website and opening a 24/7 call center.

The agency is also heading to the Hollywood hills, hoping to recruit celebrity spokespeople for the healthcare reform law, a top celebrity political adviser told The Hill's Healthwatch. Having celebrity endorsements would allow the Obama administration to reach young people and get them to sign up for coverage and benefits under the new law, the article noted.

Healthcare reform ads could feature several Hollywood A-listers who have ties to President Barak Obama--whether through personal friendships or political support--including Oprah Winfrey, John Legend, Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Jay-Z and Beyonce, among others, according to another article from The Hill's Healthwatch.

Longoria, who served as national co-chair for Obama's re-election campaign, focused on Latino voters, who are key to the healthcare law's success, the article noted.

In addition to celebrities, HHS is reaching out to professional sports leagues for help promoting healthcare reform provisions. The agency may partner with the NFL to educate consumers about insurance exchanges and encourage enrollment, as FierceHealthPayer previously reported.

HHS also contacted the NBA about partnering up to market the reform law, Politico reported. With an HHS-NBA partnership, basketball icons like the Miami Heat's LeBron James could star in ad campaigns that appeal to young, single males.

Time For Another Report About Democrats Growing ObamaCare Panic

Townhall has;
Time For Another Report About Democrats Growing ObamaCare Panic
Guy Benson | May 07, 2013

The noticeable proliferation of "Democrats fret over Obamacare" stories in the mainstream media points to something other than a simple manifestation of liberal self-flagellation.  These pieces are warnings: Get your act together, Democrats, or Republicans might win next year.   Here's the latest installmentfrom the New York Times:
As the administration struggles to put in place the final, complex piece of President Obama’s signature health care law, an endeavor on a scale not seen since Medicare’s creation nearly a half-century ago, Democrats are worried that major snags will be exploited by Republicans in next year’s midterm elections. Many Democrats also want to see a more aggressive and visible president to push the law across the country.This week Mr. Obama is returning to the fray to an extent unseen since he signed the law in 2010, including a White House event on Friday to promote the law’s benefits for women, the first in a series of appearances for health care this year. A number of health insurance changes have already taken place, but this fall, just as the 2014 election season heats up, is the deadline for introducing the law’s core feature: the insurance marketplaces, known as exchanges, where millions of uninsured Americans can buy coverage, with subsidies for many.

Yes, because highly "visible" speechifying from the president has been such a boonto this cause in the past.  In any case, the introduction of central changes in 2014 puts the lie to the president's recent assertion that the Obamacare process is already over for up to "90 percent" of Americans.  It's next year's implementation, which promises to be messy, that continues to stir Democratic jitters:
For the third time, Republicans are trying to make the law perhaps the biggest issue of the elections, and are preparing to exploit every problem that arises. After many unsuccessful efforts to repeal the law, the Republican-led House plans another vote soon. And Republican governors or legislatures in many states are balking at participating, leaving Washington responsible for the marketplaces. Democrats are worried about 2014 — a president’s party typically loses seats in midterm years — and some have gone public with concerns about the pace of carrying out the law. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, told an interviewer last week that he agreed with a recent comment by Senator Max Baucus of Montana, a Democratic architect of the law, who said “a train wreck” could occur this fall if preparations fell short. The White House has allayed some worries, with briefings for Democrats about their public education plans, including PowerPoint presentations that show areas with target populations down to the block level.“There’s clearly some concern” among Democrats “that their constituents don’t yet have all facts on how it will work, and that Republicans are filling that vacuum with partisan talking points,”said Representative Steve Israel of New York, head of the House Democrats’ campaign committee. “And the administration must use every tool they have to get around the obstructions and make it work.”
Democrats can continue to console themselves with the delusion that their biggest problem stems from public ignorance.  In reality, their electoral pain will come from people who dounderstand the law and who've fought it at every turn since 2009.  Demandingmore money to sell the law only inflames public concerns over the already-massive cost of the program, and has zero chance of passing Congress anyway.  But even if those funds were provided, one can only dress up a failure for so long.  The quote above from DCCC chair Steve Israel is particularly amusing.  He's very upset with Republicans for filling the imagined public information void with "partisan talking points," presumably designed to trick people into believing the law is a mess.  Damn those Republican operatives who've called Obamacare implementation a "huge train wreck," likened the roll-out to a "third world experience" for the American people, asserted that the "Affordable" Care Act doesn't actually contain costs, and spread rumors that the law is contributing to -- not reducing -- rising premiums.  Oops.  Obamacare's problem isn't Republican talking points, which have proven rather toothless on any number of fronts recently.  Obamacare's problem is Obamacare, which is why the chorus of Democrats publicly voicing concerns is growing louder.  I'll leave you with two reminders:(1) Obamacare is still being written, as evidenced by the growing anti-freedom tower.  From today's Times piece: "Essential regulations remain unresolved, leaving insurers, small businesses and health care providers unsure of how to proceed."(2) A core element of Obamacare is a huge expansion of Medicaid, an existing program that is already financially unsustainable, has generated increasing access hurdles, and has been demonstrated to be a substantive failure on health outcomes by a comprehensive, nonpartisan study.  MIT economist Jon Gruber -- who helped design Obamacare, including the Medicaid expansion -- has now separately concluded that Medicaid doesn't work.  But let's swell its rolls by 11 million people anyway.

Thank You Townhall and Mr Benson.

Huge ObamaCare Sales Force To Get $20 To $48 an Hr. To Work As 'Navigators'

Weaselzippers has;
Obama Admin To Pay Union Workers, Community Activists Up To $48 An Hour TYo Work As Obamacare Navigators

California alone wants 21,000 “navigators,” so yes, this is going to cost an obscene amount of money.
Tens of thousands of health care professionals, union workers and community activists hired as “navigators” to help Americans choose Obamacare options starting Oct. 1 will be paid up to $48 an hour, more than six times the federal minimum wage of $7.25, according to new regulations issued Wednesday.
The 63-page rule covering navigators, drawn up by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, also said the government will provide free translators for those not fluent in English — no matter what their native language is. [...]
It is still not clear how many navigators will be required. California, however, provides a hint. It wants 21,000.
The rules allow navigators to come from the ranks of unions, health providers and community action groups such as ACORN and Planned Parenthood. They are required to provide unbiased advice.
