MSM Gives Christie Bridge Scandal 17 TIMES MORE COVERAGE In One Day Than IRS Scandal In 6 Months UPDATE: Now 44 Times As Much Coverage

MSM Gives Christie Bridge Scandal 17 TIMES MORE COVERAGE In One Day Than IRS Scandal In 6 Months UPDATE: Now 44 Times As Much Coverage

Why yes, liberal media bias is a myth.
In less than 24 hours, the big three networks have devoted 17 times more coverage to a traffic scandal involving Chris Christie than they’ve allowed in the last six months to Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service controversy. Since the story broke on Wednesday that aides to the New Jersey governor punished a local mayor’s lack of endorsement with a massive traffic jam, ABC, CBS and NBC have responded with 34 minutes and 28 seconds of coverage. Since July 1, these same networks managed a scant two minutes and eight seconds for the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.
In contrast, journalists such as Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos pounced on the developing Christie story. The GMA host opened the program on Thursday by announcing, “Chris Christie in crisis. Calls at this hour for the feds to step in, investigate the explosive e-mails.”
Update: The media turns on its favorite pet RINO.
In less than 48 hours, ABC, CBS and NBC deluged viewers with coverage of Chris Christie’s traffic jam scandal, devoting a staggering 88 minutes to the story. In comparison, these same news outlets over the last six months have allowed a scant two minutes for the latest on Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service scandal. The disparity in less than two days is 44-to-one. [See a chart below.]
From Wednesday through Friday morning, the latest on Christie’s Traffic-Gate led 11 out of 13 news programs. NBC produced the heaviest coverage, over 34 minutes. CBS followed close behind with more than 30 minutes. ABC came in third with just under 23 minutes.

Anybody else find it interesting that the WH chose this particular moment in time to FIRE CGI, the $643 Million Clowns who built Healthcare.gov, And Hire ANOTHER Co. with a similarly distinguished record of Fraud for Another $90 Million to fix the 1rst $643 Million Dollar rip off, . . . As their media lapdogs are positively frothing at the mouth to tear a piece off of a pet RINO?

Obamunist/MSM stunts like this are not coincidence.

Spite House Dumps CGI - Healthcare.gov builder - and Replaces Them With ANOTHER Co. That DEFRAUDED The Govt.

WH Dumps CGI Federal Over Healthcare.gov Disaster

Consider this a bit of a mixed message. The Obama administration has insisted for the last two months that the problems with Healthcare.gov have largely been resolved, and that the web portal is now working within acceptable parameters. Now, however, they’re canning the company that delivered the mess and supposedly fixed it, for not fixing it:
The Obama administration has decided to jettison CGI Federal, the main IT contractor that was responsible for building the defect-ridden online health insurance marketplace and has been immersed in the work of repairing it, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Federal health officials are preparing to sign a 12-month contract worth roughly $90 million, probably early next week, with a different company, Accenture, after concluding that CGI has not been effective enough in fixing the intricate computer system underpinning the federal Web site, HealthCare.gov, the individual said. …
At the start of December, administration officials announced that the Web site was largely working for consumers who wanted to enroll in health plans. But the site continues to malfunction in other ways. For instance, it is not yet able to automatically enroll people eligible for Medicaid in states’ programs, compute exact amounts to be sent to insurers for their customers’ federal subsidies, and tabulate precisely how many consumers have paid for their insurance premiums and are therefore actually covered.
According to officials familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision is not yet public, leaders of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services — which oversees the online marketplace — became frustrated with the pace and quality of CGI’s work on the repairs. As federal officials and contractors have been trying to fix various aspects of the Web site in the past few months, about half of the new software code the company has written has failed on the first try, according to internal federal information.
In other words, it’s not fixed, and the people who brought us the big faceplant can’t handle the job at all. Instead, the administration will hire Accenture, a firm that has not done any work on a federal health-care system, to fix CGI Federal’s mess. And they will get paid $90 million to do so, which will boost the overall cost of the failing portal even more.
This fits very well with Democrat attempts to palm off the failure onto contractors. However, this should intensify scrutiny on HHS and the White House, not allow it to subside. Why didn’t the administration keep a close eye on the project, which was only the central policy achievement of the Obama presidency? How did CGI Federal’s failures go so long undetected by the administrators of ObamaCare? And now, we can add to those questions some new ones about why the White House didn’t bring in new contractors immediately when it became apparent that CGI Federal was too incompetent to fix its own work — even when the White House appointed Jeffrey Zients as the “rescue czar.”
And why did they announce more than a month ago that all was well?
CGI Federal should only be the start. Why hasn’t anyone inside the administration been fired for incompetence?
Thank You Hot Air, Dapandico, and WZ.

And the Replacement Fraudsters are?

Whose Responsible For Healthcare.gov FAIL? ObamaCare Tech Firm Tried, Failed To Build Gun Registry In Canada

FAIL, FAIL, and More FAIL, . . .
breitbart Big Government has;
ObamaCare Tech Firm Tried, Failed To Build Gun Registry In Canada
 22 Oct 2013

CGI, the Canadian company whose U.S. subsidiary built the failed Obamacare website, was once contracted to build a federal gun registry for the Canadian government, Breitbart News has learned.

CGI's contract was canceled in 2007 after a report by the Auditor General found that the Canadian Firearms Information System (CFIS) being built by CGI was "significantly over budget" and that it had been plagued by delays.
The Conservative government that took power in 2006 canceled CGI's gun registry contract, and eventually repealed the Canadian gun registry entirely.
In another parallel to the Obamacare controversy in the United States, the gun registry had been passed in 1993 over vehement Conservative objections, and was upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada in 2000, before finally being repealed in most of the country in 2012.
The failed gun registry was only one of CGI's many Canadian failures, which included canceled contracts to build health care databases in the provinces of Ontario and New Brunswick. Despite CGI's checkered record, the Obama administration awarded its U.S. subsidiary, CGI Federal, the $93.7 million contract to build healthcare.gov, part of $678 million in health care services contracts awarded to the company.
Brian Lilley of Canada's Sun News reported Monday on CGI's history of failures, cost overruns, and conflicts of interest, including the gun registry:
CGI was hired to make sure that the then-Liberal government's gun control program was efficient and high-tech. It never worked the way it should have. Was it bad programming or bad government decisions? The truth is, we don't know--we just got stuck with the bill.

[Ed; Breitbart, at the link, has video]

The Canadian government spent $10 million to cancel the contract, on top of $81 million already spent--close to $100 million in U.S. dollars at the time.
The U.S. does not have a gun registry, but one would be required, according to Breitbart News' AWR Hawkins, to implement the universal background checks that Democrats and the Obama administration tried to push through Congress earlier this year.

Thank You Mr Pollak and Breitbart.

Does "Fast And Furious" Ring Any Bells?

CGI already had a Track Record of FAIL, but We Awarded them the contract, . . . . based on What?

And one of Pelosi's lines is that this Massive, Totalitarian Cluster FAIL, is going to bring some inane, alternate reality conception of "Freedom" to Americans who need time off from all those horrid Full Time Jobs so they can pursue their dreams to become Finger Painters and Can Can Dancers.
