The Suicide of Europe

townhall
Ben Shapiro
Posted: May 30, 2018 12:01 AM

On Friday, the British police arrested Tommy Robinson, founder and former leader of the English Defence League, a far-right anti-Islam group. Robinson is a controversial character, to be sure, a sort of Milo Yiannopoulos lite. His chief focus is on the threat of radical Islam, which he believes threatens the integrity of the British system.

You don't have to like Robinson. But whatever you think of him, his arrest is absurd by any measure. You see, Robinson was arrested for standing outside a court building and reporting on a trial involving the alleged grooming of young girls for sexual assault by radical Muslims.

Now, what would be illegal about that, you ask? It turns out that Robinson was given a suspended sentence last year for filming outside another court building, where a trial for alleged gang rape by radical Muslims was taking place. He wasn't inside the courtroom. Nonetheless, the judge believed he was somehow biasing the jurors. According to the judge, Robinson was sentenced thanks to "pejorative language which prejudges the case, and it is language and reporting ... that could have had the effect of substantially derailing the trial."

This time, Robinson was again arrested for prejudicing a case, only he wasn't inside the court building. He was outside. And the media were originally banned from reporting on his arrest so that his trial wouldn't be biased. In other words, Britain has now effectively banned reporting that actually mentions the Islamic nature of criminal defendants for fear of stirring up bigotry -- and has banned reporting on reporting on such defendants. It's an infinite regress of suicidal political correctness.

But at least the Europeans have their priorities straight: While it's perfectly legal to lock up a provocateur covering a trial involving Muslims, the European Union is now considering a ban on products like cotton buds, straws and other plastics for fear of marine litter. And just as importantly, it's now perfectly legal to kill unborn children again in Ireland, where voters -- with the help of a cheering press -- decided to lift the ban on abortions until the 20th week, condemning thousands of children to death.

This is how the West dies: with a tut-tut, not with a bang. The same civilization that sees it as a fundamental right to kill a child in the womb thinks it is utterly out of bounds to film outside a trial involving the abuse of children, so long as the defendants are radical Muslims. The Europeans have elevated the right to not be offended above the right to life; they've elevated the right to not be offended above the right to free speech, all in the name of some utopian vision of a society without standards.

Discarding those standards was supposed to make Europeans more free; it was supposed to allow Europeans to feel more comfortable. But the sad truth is that no society exists without certain standards and Europe has a new standard: enforcement of its "tolerance" via jail sentence, combined with tolerance of multiculturalism that sees tolerance itself as a Trojan horse. The notion of individual rights sprang from European soil. Now they're beginning to die there.

Thousands of Gaza Hamas Thugs Attack Israel For $100 A Day

They attack for $100 a day. And Israeli soldiers fight them for $13 a day.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical left and Islamic terrorism.

Hamas supporters in Gaza held the world’s first peaceful protest with hand grenades, pipe bombs, cleavers and guns. Ten explosive devices were peacefully detonated. There were outbursts of peaceful gunfire and over a dozen kites carrying firebombs were sent into Israel where they started 23 peaceful fires. And Israeli soldiers peacefully defended their country leaving multiple Hamas attackers at peace.

"We will tear down the border," Hamas Prime Minister Yahya Sinwar had peacefully vowed. "And we will tear out their hearts from their bodies."

But the only hearts his terror thugs tore out were already bleeding with sympathy for Islamic terrorists.

The Hamas mob chanted, “Allahu Akbar” and the genocidal racist threat of, “Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud," a reference to the primal Islamic massacre of the Jews. While IDF soldiers held back the invaders, the jets of the IAF targeted the snake’s head striking Hamas compounds and outposts. By 5.30 PM, the Hamas organizers changed course and began urging the thugs away from further fence attacks.

Hamas had offered $100 to every rioter. During previous violent assaults back in April, the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group had been offering $200 to anyone shot by Israelis, $500 for severe injuries and $3,000 to the dead.

$100 a day may not seem like a lot, but the Israeli teen soldiers they’re trying to kill, earn $13 a day.

The Hamas supporting thugs are depicted as helpless, starving victims who can barely lift the firebombs they’re throwing at Israelis, but they make ten times as much as the Israeli soldiers they are there to kill.

Hamas can write all those checks to its aspiring killers because the cash is coming from Iran.

Last year, Senwar, whom Israel had released in exchange for captured Israeli hostage Gilad Shalit, had boasted that Iran was once again "the largest backer financially and militarily".

That comes out to an estimated $100 million a year.

With as many as 50,000 Hamas supporters in Gaza participating in the day’s attacks at $100 a head, over 1,000 allegedly injured at least $200 each, and another 52 allegedly killed at $3,000 each (there is no reason to treat Hamas casualty figures coming out of Gaza as anything other than propaganda), the whole thing cost Hamas and Iran $5.3 million. The unmarked cargo plane filled with foreign currency that Obama dispatched to Iran carried $400 million. That was part of a known $1.7 billion cash payment.

But the total Obama terror payments to Tehran may go as high as $33.6 billion.

Despite media misreporting, the Hamas mass fence attacks began back on March 30 and even though their Great March of Return was supposed to end in mid-May, the show proved to be unexpectedly popular in Tehran, Brussels and Berkeley, and the attacks will continue through at least June.

Even a single one of Obama’s cash smuggling runs to Iran is enough to fund attacks just like these for two and a half months. And the $100,000 that an Iranian group offered to anyone who blows up the embassy? That illegal cash run can pay for bounties on every American diplomatic facility in the world.

Lefties bemoaning Israel’s moral authority can look up and follow the money trail from Iran’s IRGC (the terror mothership whom Obama resisted sanctioning), to the unmarked cargo planes from Obama, and to their own greasy little fingers that pushed the button or marked the ballot for him. The Israeli teens in IDF khaki with rules of engagement for using force longer than some graduate thesis papers are dealing with a problem from hell created by Democrat voters who wanted to feel inspired by Obama.

The cost of that inspiration today ran to dozens dead. If the Israeli teens shooting in self-defense lack moral authority, where is the moral authority of the Obama voters whose votes financed the attack?

Those Israeli teens in green earn $408 a month if they're in a combat unit. Before a raise a few years ago, they weren't even earning $300. Support units earn $327 and rear units $225. Not only is that far lower than the average civilian salary, but if often hardly covers living expenses. Dodging the draft isn’t hard these days. The average red-shirted hipster does it easily, putting in a few years at a fake startup before heading to Berlin to protest Zionism. And those who serve know if that they make a single mistake, if they shoot an attacker who turns out not to be armed, Israeli leftists will see them jailed.

Hamas supporters charge at them for $100 a day. And IDF soldiers hold the line for $400 a month.

So why for $400 a month, do Israeli soldiers face down mobs of tens of thousands of Hamas supporters baying for their blood? The average IDF soldier who reports for duty comes from one of the Judean communities (slurred as settlements) under attack by Hamas or from development towns in the north under attack by Hezbollah. He is often a religious settler who sees the hand of G-d in the high hills or a descendant of Mizrahi immigrants whose recent ancestors were oppressed under Muslim rule.

When your family lives under fire, holding the line on the Hamas mob isn’t an abstract idea of duty.

The Hamas invaders were there to kill Israelis. The Israeli soldiers were there to protect Israelis. The attackers were invading someone else’s land while the defenders were protecting their own country.

That’s why Hamas has to pay its rioting thugs ten times as much as Israeli soldiers earn to attack them.

While the $100 a day thugs threw rocks and firebombs, the professional terrorists hung back waiting for a breach in the fence. Some were caught planting bombs. And killed. They are among the 10 known Hamas terrorists killed in the Gaza fighting and bemoaned by the media as victims of a Jewish massacre.

The $400 a month Israeli teenager with a rifle is there as the front line in case the fence is breached. Hamas wants to take more hostages to free more terrorists. If it can’t do that, it will kill them. And if the attackers make it past the soldiers, they will hit Israeli towns and villages hoping to kill anyone they find.

While the fence holds up, the Hamas terrorists and their supporters sent flaming kites in the hopes of setting Israeli farms and fields on fire. One such attack had already destroyed 400 acres of wheat.

A sympathetic New York Times piece from last week described the "flaming-kite squadrons" prepping hundreds of fire kites, but unfortunately, "The wind was blowing the other way."

“The wind is still against us,” Ismail al-Qrinawi whined. “We are waiting for it to pick up so we can fly tens of kites and burn their crops." Instead, "the direction of the wind not only thwarted the kites, but also blew copious amounts of Israeli tear gas toward the protesters."

Pharaoh and his legions had the same bad experience with the wind. G-d must be an Islamophobe.

Hamas organized the invasion. It urged its human shields to head to the fence telling them that the Israelis had run away. That was the same way Egypt’s Nasser had tricked Jordan’s King Hussein during the Six Day War. Instead of defeating the Israelis and salvaging Gaza, Nasser’s scheme led to the liberation of Jerusalem, along with Judea and Samaria by the indigenous Jewish people. And it also had disastrous consequences for this latest attempted invasion by Egyptian-Jordanian settlers into Israel.

While the Hamas supporters were destroying their own crossing point infrastructure, as they had previously trashed their own gas lines, the United States was inaugurating the opening of an embassy in Jerusalem. Despite media misinformation, the riots predated the embassy and will postdate it.

The media used contrasting photos of the embassy opening and the Pallywood fake photos of protesters crying for the cameras and pretending to limp on crutches to smear Israel and America. And as usual they missed the real story. While Israelis and Americans were building something, Muslim terrorists were destroying everything they could get their hands on. While Rabbis and Pastors blessed, Imams cursed.

Hamas Sheikh Iyad Abu Funun had sworn on the Koran that, "We will not leave a single Jew on our Islamic land." It did not matter, “whether left-Wing, right-wing, secular, religious, or extremist.”

That is what this is about.

The dedication of the embassy is a leap of faith. Faith in building rather than destruction. Faith in life instead of death. Faith in the G-d who watches over Jerusalem, not the Allah for whom Gaza burns.

Former Obama Officials Suggest European Allies Expel American Diplomats (for Pulling Out of Iran Deal)

dailycaller
Peter Hasson Reporter
7:04 PM 05/12/2018

Two former Obama administration officials suggested that America’s European allies should punish President Donald Trump for withdrawing from the Iran deal and levying additional sanctions on the Islamic republic.

The European Union and individual European countries are obligated to take aggressive steps to preserve the Iran deal, in order to avoid becoming Trump’s “doormat,” Steven Simon and Jonathan Stevenson argued in an op-ed that ran in The New York Times Thursday. Both Simon and Stevenson were directors on former President Barack Obama’s National Security Council (NSC).

“The European Union could, for instance, announce the withdrawal of member-states’ ambassadors from the United States. Isn’t this what states do when diplomatic partners breach solemn agreements, expose them to security risks and threaten to wreak havoc on their economies? That is, after all, what the administration is threatening to do by courting the risk of a Middle Eastern war and applying secondary sanctions to European companies,” they argued. “Depending on the American response, European capitals might even follow up with expulsion of American ambassadors.”

“It would be hard to fault these moves as irresponsible, given that they would not impair vital security functions like intelligence-sharing and law enforcement coordination. They would, however, symbolize a stark diplomatic breach that could extend to other areas in which the Trump administration needs allied support,” the former Obama officials wrote. “Thus, the White House would face the first hard choice in this whole process: a full-blown crisis in trans-Atlantic relations. If the administration’s next move were to impose secondary sanctions on Europe, the Europeans could slap its own penalties on American multinational corporations, which in turn would place additional pressure on the White House.”

Simon and Stevenson conceded it would be “radical” for Europe to sanction American companies in order to protect the Iran deal, but claimed that “it would arise in response to correspondingly egregious American behavior.” (RELATED: Obamas Have Slammed Trump A Dozen Times Since Leaving The White House, Breaking With Precedent)

Obama himself sharply and publicly criticized Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Iran deal — breaking with precedent that presidents refrain from criticizing their successor. The former president and former first lady Michelle Obama have publicly slammed Trump a dozen times since they left the White House.

Obama's Legacy: Empowering Iran and Russia

dailycaller
Abraham H. MillerEmeritus Professor, University of Cincinnati
2:07 AM 01/11/2018

On December 2, Arab media sources reported that Israeli warplanes flew over the Golan Heights, entered Syrian airspace, and bombed an Iranian military installation inside Syria.

Iran’s quest for strategic dominance in the region has been ongoing for decades. In recent years, Iran has been aided by three fundamental events: ISIS’ wrought chaos has provided new opportunities for Iranian interventionism; the Obama administration’s incomprehensible decision to release $170 billion in Iranian assets, and the Obama administration’s intrusion into Operation Casandra, an American intelligence operation directed against the Hezbollah’s ferrying drugs and cash between it and the Venezuelan communist dictatorship.

So obsessed was the Obama administration with nuclear “agreement” with Iran that a large-scale American operation designed to stop the drugs for cash operation between Iran’s terrorist proxy and the communist dictatorship was halted.

For the Middle East, the new arrangement with Iran was a shift in the strategic balance of power in favor of the Iranian quest for hegemony. For the rest of the world, it has meant more drugs on the streets of Western cities and the threat of Iranian proxies in Latin America with Venezuelan passports.

Even the time frame for Iranian postponement of building a nuclear weapon is not agreed upon. The “agreement” itself was never signed. Iranian military installations are immunized from inspection.

The tangible effects of the agreement are the modernization of Hezbollah’s military capabilities on Israel’s northern border and that of Hamas on the southern. As if the 150,000 rockets Hezbollah has aimed at Israel and its Iranian backing were not a sufficient cause for concern, the Obama administrations obsession with producing the Iran deal permitted Hezbollah to become an unimpeded, major player in the international drug trade.

Iran’s proxy in Yemen, the Houthi, are threatening the Yemeni government and the Saudis. Ambassador Nikki Haley showed the world a Houthi rocket fired into Saudi Arabia bearing all the hallmarks of Iranian technology and design.

Whatever one thinks of Obama’s strategic vision or lack thereof in the Middle East, the permissive policy toward Hezbollah’s drug operations will mean more and cheaper product on the streets of America’s inner cities.

Save for a military coup, the Obama administration would have turned Egypt into a vassal of the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt has now turned to Russia.

Since the Sinai Accords in the wake of the 1973 War, America’s aim has been to keep the Russians out of Egypt. Obama’s support of the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood at the expense of human rights put an end to over 40 years of highly crafted American diplomacy.

On November 28, the Kremlin announced an agreement with Egypt that will allow Russia to build airbases on Egyptian soil and to use Egyptian air space. It was retaliation for the Obama administration’s support for Mohammed Morsi, support that persisted even after the tyrant was overthrown.

Like the Saudis, the Egyptians are worried about destabilization of the region caused by Iran and ISIS. The Egyptians no longer perceive America as a trustworthy ally. Russia has been able to gain a position on both the Iranian and Egyptian side of the Middle East chasm.

Even President Obama finally admitted, during his last year in office, that his policies in Libya resulted in the power vacuum filled by ISIS affiliates and enabled Libya to become a conduit for the unending flow of African migrants into Europe.

Obama was so focused on overthrowing strongman Muamar Khaddaffi that he had no game plan for what came next. Only after the chaos blew up in his face did he realize what he had created.

The Middle East has always been unstable, but Obama, in his ineptitude, made it more unstable. Consequently, hundreds of thousands will die in military conflicts and others will be made homeless. Thousands will reportedly be sold into slavery as is now occurring in the open-air slave markets in Libya, something even Khaddaffi would not have tolerated.

Obama’s Middle East legacy is written in the suffering of its people, the inevitable war between Israel and Iran’s proxies, the reemergence of Russia as a power broker in the region, and the drugs that will flow into our inner-cities with the interference in Operation Cassandra.

Hungarian Christmas: We'll Protect Christian Culture, Not Retreat Behind Concrete Blocks and Watch Our Women Harassed on New Years Eve

breitbart
Jack Montgomery 25 Dec 2017

Viktor Orbán has used his annual Christmas message to call on Europeans to protect their Christian culture, and vowed Hungary will not “retreat behind concrete blocks” at Christmas and watch its women and daughters “harassed in the New Year’s Eve crowd” like its multicultural neighbours.

“Christianity is culture and civilization. We live in it. It is not about how many people go to church or how many pray honestly. Culture is the reality of everyday life… Christian culture defines our everyday morals,” wrote the Fidesz leader, in an article published in Magyar Idők.

Orbán also took aim at the enemies of his ‘country first’ policies, who say he cannot claim to be Christian if he will not support allowing “millions from other continents to settle into Europe” in accordance with the commandment to “love thy neighbour as thyself”.

“They forget the second part of the commandment,” observed Orbán: “To love ourselves.”

The conservative heavyweight explained: “Loving ourselves also means taking and protecting all that we are and who we are. To love ourselves means that we love our country, our nation, our family, Hungarian culture and European civilization.”

“Fundamentals of European life are now under attack,” the Hungarian leader continued, alluding to the difficulties faced by countries such as Britain, France, Germany, and Sweden, which have all pursued policies of mass migration and state-sponsored multiculturalism.

“Regardless of whether we are going to church or not, and if so, to which we are going, we do not want to celebrate the sacrament just behind the curtains so as not to violate the sensitivity of others,” he declared.

“We don’t want our Christmas markets to be renamed, and we definitely don’t want to retreat behind concrete blocks. We don’t want our Christmas masses to be surrounded by fear and distress. We don’t want our women, our daughters to be harassed in the New Year’s Eve crowd.”

Prime Minister Orbán added a warning against the forces which seek to deliberately weaken Christianity in Europe, which he described as a kind of cultural “immune system” — unnoticed while it is strong, but leaving the entire body politic vulnerable when it is weak.

“They want us to stop being who we are. They want us to become those who we don’t want to be. They want us to mix with people from another world, and to change in order to make diversity trouble-free,” he said.

“The free nations of Europe, the national governments elected by the free citizens, have a new task: to protect our Christian culture.
“Not for others, but for ourselves; for our families, for our nation, for our countries, and for the ‘homeland of our homeland’ — for the defence of Europe.”

Thank You PM Orban, Mr Montgomery, and Breitbart.

Report: Arms Supplied By The U.S. To Syrian Rebels Often Fell Into The Hands of ISIS

freebeacon
Natalie Johnson
December 20, 2017 5:00 am

Roughly 90 percent of weapons and ammunition deployed by ISIS were manufactured in China, Russia, and Eastern European countries

Arms supplied by the United States to Syrian rebels under the Obama administration were regularly captured by the Islamic State and used against American-led coalition forces, according to an international arms monitoring group.

The London-based Conflict Armament Research (CAR) disclosed in its latest report that most of the arms recovered from ISIS were stolen in bulk from the Iraqi and Syrian militaries during initial advances by the militant group in 2014. But many of the group's weapons, particularly newly manufactured ammunition, were initially provided by the United States and Saudi Arabia to Syrian opposition forces battling President Bashar al Assad.

The report detailed a dozen cases in which arms purchased by the U.S. for Syrian rebels ended up in ISIS's arsenal. In one instance, it took militants less than two months to capture a guided antitank missile bought by the Pentagon from Bulgaria and supplied to a Syrian opposition group.

The occurrence demonstrates the swiftness in which U.S.-supplied weapons can be turned against its own troops and allies.

"These findings are a stark reminder of the contradictions inherent in supplying weapons into armed conflicts in which multiple competing and overlapping non-state armed groups operate," the report said. CAR later noted that international efforts to supply weapons to rebel groups "have significantly augmented the quantity and quality of weapons available to [ISIS] forces."

Investigators were unable to determine whether the 40,000 weapons recovered from ISIS over the past three years were captured on the battlefield or acquired from Syrian rebels amid ever-changing alliances.

The Obama administration began covertly supplying weapons to moderate Syrian rebel groups in 2013 to combat the Assad regime. President Donald Trump ended the secretive CIA operation in July, but a publicly known federal program to arm the Syrian Democratic Forces against ISIS remains in place.

The report found no evidence of SDF weapons falling into the hands of ISIS.

CAR said all of the weapons purchased by the United States were manufactured in European Union states, raising the prospect that the Pentagon violated international contracts.

"At the very least, the diversion of weapons documented in this report has eroded the trust that exporting authorities placed in the recipient governments," the authors wrote. "At worst, the diversions occurred in violation of signed agreements that commit recipient governments not to retransfer materiel without the exporter's prior consent."

Though the terrorist group often showcased American-made weapons presumably seized from Iraqi security forces in its propaganda videos, the majority of arms captured by ISIS came from Russia and China.

Roughly 90 percent of weapons and ammunition deployed by ISIS were manufactured in China, Russia, and Eastern European countries, with Moscow and Beijing accounting for more than 50 percent, according to the report. By comparison, NATO-produced weapons and ammunition accounted for 3 percent and 13 percent of ISIS's arsenal, respectively.

Boeing Execs Head To Iran As Congress Cracks Down On Tehran's Use of Planes For Terror

freebeacon
Adam Kredo
December 13, 2017 12:20 pm

Executives from major airplane manufacturers Boeing and AirBus will reportedly head to Iran next week to hammer down multi-billion dollar deals to sell the Islamic Republic a new fleet of commercial planes amid a congressional crackdown on Tehran's continued use of commercial aircraft to transport weapons and terrorist fighters across the region.

As controversy continues to swirl around Boeing's and AirBus's efforts to sell Iran a fleet of new jets, Congress has taken steps to mandate the U.S. government release public reports outlining Tehran's continued use of commercial aircraft for illicit terrorism purposes.

The multi-billion dollar deals with Iran have been opposed by many in Congress who have disclosed evidence that the Islamic Republic routinely uses commercial aircraft as cover when illicitly transporting weapons and fighters across the Middle East.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported in October that the Trump administration has been reviewing the sales with an increasingly critical eye, and could decline to grant Boeing the necessary licenses to complete the deal. The State Department emphasized and explained this stance on Wednesday when approached by the Free Beacon for comment.

Boeing executives were in Tehran as recently as May, when they met with a top former Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) member who threatened to blow up U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf region. That official, Hossein Alaei, is now the CEO of Aseman Airlines, one of the state-controlled airlines Boeing is seeking to ink a deal with.

Executives from both Boeing and AirBus will reportedly travel to Iran again next week to discuss how Tehran will finance the purchase of a new commercial fleet, which could number at least 180 planes combined.

Massoumeh Asgharzadeh, the head of Iran Air Public Relations Office, reportedly stated that Iran intends finance the new deal domestically.

"Our preference is to use domestic financial resources, but we also have the option to finance the purchases through Airbus and Boeing themselves," the official was quoted as saying in Iran's press.

As the Western airplane manufacturers continue to pursue deals with Iran, Congress took steps this week to more fully expose Iran's use of these types of planes for terrorism purposes.

Included in the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, a mammoth yearly funding bill for America's defense priorities, is a requirement that the U.S. government begin providing Congress with an annual report on Iran's use of commercial aircraft for illicit purposes.

The effort, lawmakers told the Free Beacon, is meant to highlight the danger of deals being pursued by Boeing and AirBus.

"Iran Air has been using their sanctions relief money from Obama's nuclear deal to fly weapons, material, and fighters directly into Syria," Sen. David Perdue (R., Ga.), the architect of the new effort, told the Free Beacon.

"We need a closer look into how Iran is propping up the murderous Assad regime," Perdue said. "As President Trump determines how it will proceed with regard to these commercial aircraft sales, a new reporting requirement included in the defense bill he signed into law today will help give us a better look at Iran's nefarious behavior."

Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.), who spearheaded the reporting requirement in the House, told the Free Beacon that Boeing and AirBus executives should not be holding meetings with Iran's hardline regime.

"The reports of Boeing and Airbus executives traveling to Tehran to sell aircraft to the Iranian regime’s airliner are outrageous," Roskam said. "In the past month, IRGC-backed forces have threatened to attack U.S. forces in Iraq and Iran’s military leadership has threatened Europe with ballistic missiles. No American company should be doing business with this regime, let alone be selling militarily-fungible jets to the terror-supporting transport-arm of the IRGC."

The State Department would not directly comment on potential licenses that may or may not be granted to Boeing, but told the Free Beacon that Iran's use of commercial aircraft for terror purposes is extremely concerning.

The Trump administration will not grant any license to sell Iran commercial aircraft unless it can be concretely proven they will not be used for illicit operations.

"We do not comment on individual OFAC [Office of Foreign Assets Control] specific licenses, but the administration's position is clear: We will not issue export licenses unless we are convinced the aircraft will be used exclusively for civilian passenger aviation," a State Department official told the Free Beacon.

"We condemn Iran's role in facilitating the abuses of the Syrian regime against its own people and we are very concerned with any reports that Iran may be using its commercial passenger airlines for anything other than exclusively civilian passenger aviation," the administration official said.

Under the landmark nuclear deal, the United States reserves the right to revoke any and all licenses permitting such sales if it is determined Iran is using the aircraft for nefarious purposes.

U.S. officials have emphasized this point to Iranian officials, according to the State Department official.

"Should the United States determine that licensed aircraft, goods, or services have been used for purposes other than exclusively commercial passenger aviation end-use, or have transferred to sanctioned persons, we reserved the right under the JCPOA to cease issuing – or to revoke – aircraft licenses," the official said. "We have made this point clear to Iran and other JCPOA participants."

Family of Alleged Port Authority Terrorist 'Outraged' Over Police Behavior

dailycaller
Joe Simonson Media Reporter
8:25 PM 12/11/2017

The family of Akayed Ullah, the suspect behind Monday morning’s failed suicide bombing at the New York City Port Authority Bus Terminal, expressed “outrage” by the actions of law enforcement.

“We are heartbroken by the violence that was targeted at our city today, and by the allegations being made against a member of our family,” Albert Fox Cahn, the legal director for CAIR New York, stated on behalf of the Ullah family, WABC reported Monday.

“But we are also outraged by the behavior of law enforcement officials who have held children as small as four years old out in the cold and who held a teenager out of high school classes to interrogate him without a lawyer, without his parents,” the family said. “These are not the sorts of actions that we expect from our justice system, and we have every confidence that our justice system will find the truth behind this attack and that we will, in the end, be able to learn what occurred today.”

Ullah, 27, was severely injured after he allegedly detonated a bomb attached to himself in the underground corridor between Times Square and the Port Authority. There are no reports that law enforcement acted improperly in the aftermath of the terrorist attack and thanks to medical personnel, he is expected to survive.

Four other bystanders received minor injuries from the explosion.

Ullah reportedly told investigators that he chose the location because of the Christmas-themed posters that hang on the walls near the Times Square subway station.

An immigrant from Bangladesh, Ullah entered the United States in 2011 through extended family chain migration. Once in the country, Ullah worked as an electrician and reportedly became radicalized through Islamic State propaganda.

Protester: Israel's 'time is limited, and their time is up'

Protests over the weekend in the United States and Canada, conducted in response to President Donald Trump's recognition Wednesday of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, were marked by at least one assault of a Zionist counter-protester, calls for organized violence against Jews, and the stealing and burning of Israeli flags.

At a demonstration held outside the Vancouver Art Gallery on Saturday, a 17-year-old Israeli-Jewish student from the nearby University of British Columbia (UBC), who stood silently on the side with an Israeli flag unfurled, said he was pushed to the ground by a middle-aged protester wearing a Palestinian kaffiyeh, or headdress.

The student, who spoke with the Washington Free Beacon on condition of anonymity, said he was bending to rescue a cardboard likeness of an Israeli flag that had been set on fire by protesters, when he was shoved down and called a "piece of shit" by the unidentified demonstrator.

The cardboard flag, which bore a large red "X," was lit with a cigarette lighter within feet of the student, who had been encircled by about 10 protesters. They left him with "no exit strategy," he said, adding that one of the protesters also stole his own, real flag.

The defacing of the Israeli flag was "a lot more disturbing" than the personal threats or physical violence, he said.

"It is shocking that this could happen in country supposed to be all about plurality and multiculturalism," he said. "You don't burn another person's aspirations for a homeland."

The student added that he had not gone to downtown Vancouver to counter-protest, but to celebrate completing a difficult final exam. Palestinian resistance music playing on speakers drew him to the scene.

He explained that he happened to have an Israeli flag in his bag from the night before, when he had been counter-protesting Friday's much larger rally outside the gallery with a few UBC friends.

An Israeli flag was stolen from the Zionist group on Friday, as well. It was then stomped on and ripped apart, according to footage of the event.

One of the students initially holding the flag, Jake Reznik, said young children sitting on their parents' shoulders called him a "Nazi" and "genocider."

Noah David Alter, Reznik's fellow flag-bearer, said, "One woman told me if she sees me again, she'd knock my teeth out."

Alter said Vancouver police failed to intervene when the flag was stolen and destroyed.

"There was no way they didn't see what was going on," he said.

Meanwhile, a similar protest was underway at New York City's Times Square.

Activists chanted, "Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Muhammed is returning," invoking Islamic prophet Muhammad's 7th century war against Jewish tribes. The battle has also been cited as inspiration by terror organizations Hamas and Hezbollah.

Protesters in both cities called for another "intifada," or popular uprising, a term referring to periods of Palestinian suicide bombings and stabbings in Israel that took place from 1987 to 1993, and again in the early 2000s.

The Vancouver protests were organized in part by Tarek Ramadan, according to News 1130, a local imam who in July gave a sermon urging his congregants to send "money, weapons, expertise" to Palestinians fighting the Zionist "gang."

"[I]t is our duty, an individual duty, that we all share their Jihad and their struggle against the Zionists, by all means necessary—by all legal means and any Islamic means. We are not going to be shy or wishy-washy about it," Ramadan said, according to a transcript of the speech translated by Middle East and Arabic language media watchdog, MEMRI.

The Manhattan rally was organized by a coalition of pro-Palestinian groups, with leaders of the local anti-Israel movement encouraging the crowd to be "active" in the dismantlement of Israel.

Nerdeen Kiswani, head of the New York City chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine—the country's largest network of anti-Israel campus groups—warned, that Israel's "time is limited, and their time is up."

"It's up to all of us here, including everyone in the crowd, to keep this momentum going if we want to see Israel fall within our lifetime. And inshallah, it will fall within our lifetime," said Kiswani, who earlier this year celebrated a deadly truck ramming attack in Jerusalem as a "Fuck you" to "settlers."

Pence Faces Down Arab Threats Ahead of First Official Trip To Israel

Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Israel next week to reaffirm President Donald Trump's declaration recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, according to White House sources who said Pence will strongly support the new recognition despite violence in the region and diplomatic protests by regional officials.

Pence's office had extended an invitation to meet with Palestinian officials while in the region, but the Palestinian Authority rejected the offer, according to the White House. The vice president also extended meeting invitations to Egypt's Coptic Christian Pope and Grand Imam, but both were turned down, according to administration officials.

Pence is remaining defiant in the face of ongoing protests and diplomatic fallout following Trump's declaration, and will speak in front of Israel's Knesset, or parliament, where he will "strongly reiterate his commitment to Israel and support the acknowledgement of Jerusalem as Israel capital," according to one senior White House official briefed on the matter.

Pence, on his first trip to the Middle East since taking office, will seek to bolster the administration's new policy and reiterate its commitment to the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians amid violent protests across the region in response to Trump's recognition of Jerusalem.

Pence will be the first U.S. official to address Israel's parliament since Trump directed the State Department to begin moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Pence "will speak at the Knesset early next week as one of the first stops on his week long middle east trip," said one White House official. "Expect him to strongly reiterate his commitment to Israel and support and acknowledgment of Jerusalem as its capital."

The administration maintains that, despite objections from Arab leaders, the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital will not impede the peace process. Officials have maintained that American policy will not be held hostage by threats of regional violence.

Senior White House officials who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon said the rejections of Pence's offers to meet show a lack of commitment to renewing the peace process and pushing forward with regional objectives.

"While most of the world community is criticizing the administration's decision, it's the administration that was willing to meet and talk with the Palestinians—they were the ones unwilling to have constructive dialogue," said one senior official briefed on the situation.

Pence remains optimistic about the trip despite some tension.

After Palestinian leaders rejected Pence's offer to meet while he is in the region, the vice president's office issued a scathing response blaming Palestinian leaders for walking away from the bargaining table at a key juncture.

"The president has asked Vice President Pence to go to the region to reaffirm our commitment to work with partners throughout the Middle East to defeat radicalism that threatens the hopes and dreams of future generations," Alyssa Farah, Pence's press secretary, said over the weekend.

"It's unfortunate that the Palestinian Authority is walking away again from an opportunity to discuss the future of the region, but the administration remains undeterred in its efforts to help achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians and our peace team remains hard at work putting together a plan," Farah said.

Pence will still hold meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Other administration insiders briefed on Pence's trip said the White House has been making, and will continue to make, good faith outreach efforts to Palestinian and Arab leaders in pursuit of the peace process.

"Everyone in the Middle East knows the Trump administration is serious about advancing a realistic peace deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians," said one veteran Middle East expert who regularly advises Congress and the Trump administration on Israeli-Palestinian peace process issues.

"The reason they know it is because they're all involved in it. The president's team has been carefully but systematically moving forward a regional approach, and America's allies there have all bought in," the source said. "The only people pretending there's a genuine crisis are the Palestinians and Trump's critics back here in D.C."

Times Square Terrorist Planned Attack For Years, Told Police "Motive Was Revenge"'.

Updat (2 pm ET): In a harrowing account of today's Times Square terrorist attack, the New York Post interviewed several witnesses who shared their accounts of the immediate aftermath of the attack, which triggered a small stampede out of the narrow subway tunnel where Akayed Ullah detonated his homemade pipe bombs.

“I heard a kaboom. It was shaky,” said Jamar Moore, 39, who was near a turnstile when he felt the explosion.

“There was a little rumble. Everyone just hit the stairs and started running. People were losing their pocketbooks. Once we heard that pop, everybody was out."

In the mad scramble to flee after the would-be suicide bomber’s explosive device erupted underground, people at the station were falling over each other, trampling on others and losing their shoes, Moore recalled.

“People started getting trampled. I see about three to four people falling,” he said.

Sarah Benelli, 35, was on an A train that had pulled into 42nd Street/Port Authority when the bomb detonated, shaking the whole train and causing frightened commuters to jump on board to try to get away.

“I had headphones on, but I felt this rattle in my chest. I pulled the headphones out, and it sounded just like thunder. It reverberated for a couple seconds, and it was really loud,” said the Inwood resident.

“As I heard the rumbling, I heard people on the platform running on the train. There were a couple expletives; people were obviously scared. A few people ducked down in the train, and people were shouting to get away from the doors so the doors could close. They wanted to get out of there.”

As we noted earlier, Ullah told police that his attack was an act of vengeance against the US for violence in Gaza.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in her first official comment on today's attack that Trump's proposed ban on "Chain Migration" might've prevented today's attack.

Update 3: The New York Post reports, an ISIS-inspired Bangladeshi national set off an homemade explosive device at the Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station Monday morning, law enforcement sources said.

The suspected bomber – a 27-year-old who lived in Brooklyn – had wires attached to him and was armed with a five-inch metal pipe bomb and battery pack as he walked through the Manhattan transit hub, sources said. Two law enforcement sources have identified the suspect as Ullah Akayed.

Police took the man into custody.

Former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the man was inspired by ISIS and originally from Bangladesh.

There was at least one injury and the wounded was the suspect. The man, who was seriously injured, was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Investigators briefly spoke to the man, who told them he made the explosive device at the electrical company where he works.

Time Flies When You're Torching Synagogues

American Thinker

Is it Stand-Next-To-A-Jew-At-Your-Own-Risk Day again already?

Gosh, where does the time go?
Here's a brief synopsis of recent events:
  • The United States Government officially recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel;
  • Muslim mobs in Sweden begin (aka resume) firebombing synagogues in Swedish cities.
If this sequence of events seems more like a non sequitur than a genuine "sequence" -- which ought to imply recognizable causal relations -- then congratulations, you are still rational in the traditional sense.

If this sequence of events seems totally causal and self-explanatory to you, then you have mastered the kind of asymmetrical logic that progressives use to rationalize absolutely any attack on Jews, Americans, conservatives, Christians, or pretty much anyone who is regarded as an obstacle to the ultimate progressive goal of crushing every last remnant of so-called Western civilization, including, ultimately, the traditional form of rationality cited above.
Apart from the obvious similarity of anti-Western intent, this asymmetrical logic is, we must conclude, the specific point of symbiosis between those superficially strange bedfellows, progressivism (aka neo-Marxism) and Islamism.

To punctuate the symbiosis, allow me to cite two particularly pertinent observations from Infidel, by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somali-born activist against Islam's repression of women who is almost uniformly ignored or reviled by hardcore feminists, who, being neo-Marxists, would happily sacrifice five hundred million women to the cause of defeating the West.
Wishful thinking about the peaceful tolerance of Islam cannot interpret away this reality: hands are still cut off, women still stoned and enslaved, just as the Prophet Muhammad decided centuries ago.
I found myself thinking that the Quran is not a holy document. It is a historical record, written by humans. It is one version of events, as perceived by the men who wrote it 150 years after the Prophet Muhammad died. And it is a very tribal and Arab version of events. It spreads a culture that is brutal, bigoted, fixated on controlling women, and harsh in war.
I submit that if you turned these incisive criticisms over and examined them from the reverse angle, you would see that they apply equally well to progressivism itself. A "culture" or intellectual position that is responsible for tens of millions of violent deaths and hundreds of millions of oppressed souls cannot be vindicated or justified with the claim that it is an "anti-war" philosophy which promotes equality and justice.

Progressives welcome and deliver apologias for Islamists not merely because they see Islam as a useful tool in the fight against Western liberty -- though they certainly see that too -- but because deep down they share a lot of underlying principles: intolerance of, and a desire to wipe out, dissenters and the noncompliant; brutality toward the individual human being, his family, and his property; bigotry against all religious or other moral views which emphasize the value of individual life, the personal soul, and the quest for earthly freedom; the desire to control humans, repress their natural inclinations, and distort them into slavish shapes useful to the chosen elite; and the harshness of revolutionary radicals in imposing their anti-human will upon the general population, popular agreement or consent be damned.

This fundamental symbiosis, all superficial disagreements and unruliness aside, explains how the formerly free world arrived at its present suicidal condition with regard to Islam. The progressive West has let this beast out of its cage, and is now reaping the rewards. The reaping will continue, more or less unabated, for the foreseeable future. Jerusalem is not the real issue, and never was. It is merely handy rationalization number three hundred and twenty-seven.

The real issues are hatred, irrationalism, and intolerance. These are traits that Islam (but no, of course not every individual Muslim) shares in common with progressivism. These are two religions that aggrandize the collective, denigrate the individual, demand complete submission to illiberal rules and postulates, and impose self-immolation and the rejection of one's own dignity as basic principles of "social justice."

One more helpful quote from Ayaan Hirsi Ali's Infidel:
If you are a Muslim girl, you disappear, until there is almost no you inside you. In Islam, becoming an individual is not a necessary development; many people, especially women, never develop a clear individual will. You submit: that is the literal meaning of the word islam: submission. The goal is to become quiet inside, so that you never raise your eyes, not even inside your mind.
"You disappear, until there is almost no you inside you." Is it any wonder progressivism welcomes this ally in its civilizational assault against freedom?

So if you are not Jewish, but you care about the future of what used to be the free world, be sure to celebrate Stand-Next-To-A-Jew-At-Your-Own-Risk Day today -- celebrate like your life depended on it. It does.

Nikki Haley Stands Tall At U.N. Slams U.N. For Its Hatred of Israel

dailywire
Hank Berrien December 8, 2017

Speaking at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley refused to back down from the United States’ commitment to recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, asserting, ““We must recognize that the prospect of peace is advanced, not set back,” by President Trump’s move to do so. She said bluntly, “I understand the concerns that members have in calling this session. Change is hard.” She added that the United States was more committed to peace “than we’ve ever been before — and we believe we might be closer to that goal than ever before.”

The declaration from Trump affirms that “all parties are honest with each other” as “for nearly 70 years, Jerusalem has been the capital of the State of Israel” regardless of U.S. recognition, Haley said. She said the recognition was based on “common sense.”

Haley pointed out that people using Washington’s actions as an excuse for violence were “only showing” they had no desire for peace. She cited past Israeli-Palestinian agreements that had been signed on the White House lawn, and said that if a new agreement arose, there would be “a good likelihood” it will be signed at the White House “because the United States has credibility of both sides.”

Haley also lauded the Jewish People’s attachment to Jerusalem “through 3,000 years of exile,” calling Jews “patient.”

In addition, Haley took no prisoners when it came to the traditional hatred the UN has displayed for Israel, saying that the organization always targets Israel for criticism and has “done much more damage for the prospects of peace than to advance it.”

Thank You Mr Barrien, DailyWire, and Ambassador Haley.

And the TOP COMMENT award on the U.N. and its ridiculous 'Peace Process' nonsense goes to:

Way to go, Nikki! If the Palestinians wanted peace, there'd be peace. If Israel wanted war, Palestine would not exist.

Now That's what you call a 'Realist'.
