Holocaust Study: Two-thirds of Millenials Don't Know What Auschwitz Is

Those who do not know history will repeat it.

This post has been updated.

Two-thirds of American millennials surveyed in a recent poll cannot identify what Auschwitz is, according to a study released on Holocaust Remembrance Day that found that knowledge of the genocide that killed 6 million Jews during World War II is not robust among American adults.

Twenty-two percent of millennials in the poll said they haven’t heard of the Holocaust or are not sure whether they’ve heard of it — twice the percentage of U.S. adults as a whole who said the same.

The study, conducted by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, interviewed 1,350 American adults in February and recruited by telephone and an online non-probability sample.

Dr Phil (Yeah, another Psychiatrist) Is Concerned About Kanye's Mental Health

Dr. Phil McGraw has taken some time out of his busy schedule of interviewing viral internet caricatures to actually start acting like a legitimate doctor.

Sort of. [video at the link]

Dr. Phil hopped on “TMZ Live” Tuesday to say Kanye seems to be under several mental duress, given his recent conservative musings on Twitter. (RELATED: FEMINIST WEBSITE PUBLISHES ATTACK ON KANYE’S ‘TRASH POLITICS’)

“He shows, to me, a lack of impulse control. It shows what I would refer to as ‘disregulated thought,'” he says. Later, Dr. Phil says, “He doesn’t have a filter here. The things that he’s saying are irresponsible and ignorant.”

Dr. Phil also suggests that Kanye appears to be misinformed and uneducated.

Which is pretty wild. Kanye did recently admit to struggling with opiate abuse, but I never heard a professional practicing doctor say Kanye was sick. It’s pretty shocking that a licensed psychiatrist is diagnosing somebody spouting right-leaning views as unwell.

Kanye West Torpedoes Dems: Trump Approval Among Black Men DOUBLES In Just One Week

Black male support for President Donald Trump doubled in just one week, according to a Reuters poll on presidential approval.

A poll taken on April 22, 2018 had Trump’s approval rating among black men at 11 percent, while the same poll on April 29, 2018 pegged the approval rating at 22 percent. It should be noted that Reuters only sampled slightly under 200 black males each week and slightly under 3,000 people overall.

Trump experienced a similar jump in approval among black people overall, spiking from 8.9 percent on April 22 to 16.5 percent on April 29.

Black males were also far more likely to say that they had “mixed feelings” about the president. On the 22nd, 1.5 percent said they had mixed feelings, while 7.1 percent said the same on the 29th.

The results are interesting given the recent transformation of Kanye West, who posted a picture of himself wearing a Make America Great Again hat on his Twitter account last week.

"God Damn You To Hell!" Ex-Trump Aid Blows Up During Senate Interview

Michael Caputo unloaded on Democrats on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

The former Trump campaign adviser denies the campaign colluded with Russia

“You’re the swamp,” Caputo said

Michael Caputo, a former Trump campaign adviser, unloaded on Democrats on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday during a closed-door interview as part of the panel’s Russia investigation.

“God damn you to hell!” he said at one point in the interview, according to the Washington Examiner.

Caputo was upset over his mounting legal expenses, which he said clock in at more than $125,000.

“Today, I can’t possibly pay the attendant legal costs and live near my aging father, raising my kids where I grew up,” Caputo said during his three-hour interview. “Your investigation and others into the allegations of Trump campaign collusion with Russia are costing my family a great deal of money — more than $125,000 — and making a visceral impact on my children.”

“Forget about all the death threats against my family. I want to know who cost us so much money, who crushed our kids, who forced us out of our home, all because you lost an election,” he added. “I want to know because God damn you to hell.”

Caputo, who denies that the campaign colluded with Russia, also said that he wanted to know who was “coordinating this attack on President Donald Trump.”

He pointed to an article recently published by McClatchy that asserted the special counsel’s office has been provided evidence that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen traveled to Prague in August 2016.

The infamous Steele dossier alleges that Cohen traveled to Prague to meet with Kremlin officials to discuss the collusion conspiracy to influence the 2016 election. Cohen has vehemently denied the allegation, saying that he has never been to Prague.

Caputo questioned the sourcing for the McClatchy article and suggested one of the sources was Daniel Jones, a former Senate Intel staffer who now works closely with Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the dossier.

“But who is McClatchy’s second source? It couldn’t be Dan [Jones]; he was the first source … So who could it be — perhaps one of his former Senate Intelligence colleagues? I mean, you’re all in this together. You’re the swamp,” Caputo said.

Jones has told the FBI that he has received $50 million in funding from 10 “wealthy donors” to investigate Trump’s alleged ties to Russia. Jones worked on the project with Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, the former British spy that wrote the dossier. (RELATED: Cabal Of Wealthy Donors Funding $50 Million Trump-Russia Investigation)

A lawyer who met with Jones on March 16, 2017 said Jones claimed Fusion GPS is operating as a “shadow media organization” that is helping the government. The lawyer, Adam Waldman, has told The Daily Caller News Foundation that Jones said billionaire progressive activist George Soros is one of Fusion’s clients.

Jones also sent text messages suggesting that his team helped place anti-Trump news articles. He sent Waldman one text message with a link to a McClatchy article written by the same two reporters who authored the Cohen piece.

Both Jones and Waldman were in contact in 2017 with Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, a Democrat and vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence panel.

Caputo speculates Jones was a source for the McClatchy article, he told TheDCNF.

A NEW HOPE: Young Americans Less Likely To Support Gun Control Despite Media Narrative

The Left has greatly overplayed it's Political Indoctrination/Re-education "turn up the heat under the pot with the frog in it". Young people aren't stupid. They're under such a constant bombardment of leftist/PC agitprop that they can't help but figure it out for themselves and call Bullshit.

Listening to the media, you would never know that young people are less inclined than other Americans to support gun control. Few Americans have heard of New Mexico high school senior Will Riley, who is organizing “Stand for the Second,” a national walkout in support of gun ownership. Riley is doing this with no real support from school officials, and without the millions of dollars that billionaire Michael Bloomberg and others have poured into student gun control efforts.

During last Friday’s second school walkout for gun control, former President Obama wrote in Time magazine that young people will change the debate on gun control as they get older and start to vote. (RELATED: Did You Read Obama’s Essay Commending Student Gun Control Enthusiasts? It Was CRINGE-INDUCING)

But Obama is setting himself up for disappointment. A USA Today survey from March 14 to 20 found that just 47 percent of young people between 13 and 17 years of age thought “tightening gun control laws and background checks will prevent more mass public shootings in the United States.” The survey found that 54 percent of those 18 to 24 felt the same way, and 61 percent of all voters agreed.

A Reuters survey conducted in the month following the Florida high school shooting (February 14 to March 14) found that 18 to 29 year olds were nine percentage points less likely than any older age group to support an assault weapons or semi-automatic ban.

The media has helped create the impression that young people favor more gun control. Adult gun control advocates have fed this media narrative by pouring money into student movements.

But of the 200,000 people who participated in the gun control march in Washington DC, only about 10 percent were under 18 years of age. The average age was 49. Fewer than half of the protestors at the rally cited gun control as their main reason for attending. Hatred of Trump and world peace were more important motivations. Given the free hotel rooms and food provided for students who attended the march and the free flights donated by Delta Airlines to Stoneman Douglas High School students and their families, one would have thought the organizers could get more students to attend.

At least $9 million was spent by grown-ups to organize and run the gun control march. Unspecified millions more were donated to the “March for our Lives Foundation” to help get young people involved in the push for gun control.

It didn’t hurt that Jimmy Kimmel and others used their television shows to get the word out about the gun control march and school walkout. Kimmel also predictably used the Academy Awards as a platform. TV news coverage on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC has been completely uncritical of young gun control advocates such as David Hogg, despite his vicious comments.

The NRA only wishes that it had the resources that Michael Bloomberg has provided to gun control advocates.

18-year-old Will Riley doesn’t have any of this financial or media backing. He is just a high school kid who got the idea to try to do the impossible. A week before his May 2 walkout, 300 schools were participating.

This is a lot less than the 2,000 schools that participated in the March 14 walkout for gun control, but it will probably compare favorably to last Friday’s second gun control walkout. This is pretty good work for a kid with none of the resources available to gun control advocates.

The media likes to give the impression of nearly universal support for more gun control laws. But there’s nothing remotely universal about it. And it isn’t the young people who are leading the push.

Rap mogul Kanye West has confounded the music and entertainment industry over the past week for his embrace of pro-Trump policies, activists and campaign gear, and Maxine Waters thinks he should just shut up.

Kanye’s swing to the right has not been received well by those on the other side of the aisle.

On Monday, Yeezy was back at it, tweeting statements from other people about Republicans freeing slaves and the perils of the welfare state and socialism.

Rep. Maxine Waters was asked by Politico about the rapper’s recent embrace of mainstream conservatism.

She responded by saying that West “talks out of turn” and that he should “think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.”

Her full quote, according to Politico:

“Kanye West is a very creative young man who has presented some of the most revolutionary material in the African-American community. But we also think that sometimes Kanye West talks out of turn and perhaps sometimes he needs some assistance in helping him to formulate some of his thoughts.

We don’t think that he actually means to do harm, but we’re not sure he really understands the impact of what he’s saying, at the time that he’s saying it and how that weighs on, particularly the African American community — and for young people in general. And I think maybe he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.”

Waters was named one of the nation’s “most corrupt” members of congress by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
