ABC News House Whip Count On Syria Support/Likely Support 45, Oppose/Likely Oppose 199

weaselzippers;
ABC News House Whip Count On Syria Support/Likely Support 45, Oppose/Likely Oppose 199

In other words, this thing has zero chance of passing the House. I wouldn’t be surprised if it passes the Senate and Obama attacks before the House has a chance to vote against it.
Via ABC News:
The ABC News political unit has put together a “whip count” of how members of the U.S. House of Representatives are likely to vote on the Syria resolution with assistance from the BBC Washington bureau. The count is based on public statements, interviews with aides, and reporting — it could change. ABC News will continue to update this list as new information becomes available.
OPPOSE MILITARY ACTION IN SYRIA: 63
LIKELY TO OPPOSE: 136
SUPPORT MILITARY ACTION IN SYRIA: 20
LIKELY TO SUPPORT: 25
UNDECIDED: 153
UNKNOWN: 36
Thank You ABC and Zip.

With the disconnect in the Senate, it's a wonder they don't just shuck the pretense and start showing up for work wearing purple togas.
