CAIR Demands Scott Walker Apologize To Muslims For Calling Islam Violent

weaselzippers
You know, because Islam is the Religion of Peace.
Via The Nation:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, has called on Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker to apologize for his claim that there are only a “handful of reasonable, moderate followers of Islam.
”
Walker, who is governor of the state of Wisconsin, made that claim while campaigning in New Hampshire.
“These types of inaccurate statements reflect a lack of understanding of Islam and Muslims that is, frankly, not presidential,” CAIR Government Affairs Manager Robert McCaw, said in a statement.
“If Mr. Walker believes only a ‘handful’ of Muslims are moderate or reasonable, then he is ignoring the very clear reality that violent extremists murder more Muslims than they do people of any other faith.
“If you’re fighting a war, you’ve got to identify who the enemy is loud and clear,” Walker said.
“We’ve said it repeatedly: It’s radical Islamic terrorism.”
“It is a war against not only America and Israel, it’s a war against Christians, it’s a war against Jews, it’s a war against even the handful of reasonable, moderate followers of Islam who don’t share the radical beliefs that these radical Islamic terrorists have.”

Unreal: Dem Rep. Gwen Moore Says Scott Walker "Tightening The Noose, Literally, Around African Americans" . . .

Hey Gwen, America just called and they want the $174K a year you're hosing them for returned.

Yes, literally.
MADISON (AP) — Democratic U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore says that Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s policies are “tightening the noose, literally, around African Americans.”
Moore made the comment during a conference call Monday to discuss Walker’s campaigning for president in South Carolina.
Moore is black and represents Milwaukee in Congress. She says Walker’s opposition to raising the minimum wage, requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls, and requiring drug testing for public aid recipients disproportionately hurts African Americans.
Moore also says Walker’s rejection of a high-speed train line between Milwaukee and Madison took away jobs from inner city Milwaukee.

Wisc Gov Scott Walker Signs Bill Weakening Academic Tenure

Academic Tenure was intended to foster Academic Independence. Instead it has devolved in the most lock step, brazen, in your face conformity of politically correct indoctrination imaginable.

How else can you explain University Medical Depts not only getting away with, but billing the U.S.Treasury for pathologizing 1st Amendment violators as Incurably Sick in the Mystic?

Any pretense of utility Tenure ever had, it demolished all on its own decades ago.

“Maybe it’s time for faculty and staff to start thinking about teaching more classes and doing more work.” – Gov. Walker
Via Politico

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s trailblazing effort to weaken tenure protections at public colleges and universities is now a reality with his signing of a $73 billion budget on Sunday.
The effort has outraged unions and higher education groups, leaving them fearful that other lawmakers will follow suit to unravel labor protections in higher education that have long been considered sacred ground.
Walker downplayed the changes at Sunday’s signing at a valve manufacturing facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin, emphasizing instead that tuition was being frozen in the University of Wisconsin system for another two years at the rate it was two years ago.
“We made college more affordable for college students and working families all across the state,” Walker said.[…]
Wisconsin’s system is rare in that tenure protections had been written into state law. Tenure policy is typically determined by an institution or a state board.
Nationally, about 51 percent of public institutions had a tenure system in the 2013 school year. That’s down from 59 percent a decade earlier, according to federal data.
Walker has said while discussing his proposal that “maybe it’s time for faculty and staff to start thinking about teaching more classes and doing more work.” And Walker has defended his plan by noting he has a child enrolled in the University of Wisconsin, so he has a vested interest in ensuring his plan works well.
Thank You Politico, Dapandico, and Gov Walker.

Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker's Policies Lead To Nearly $1 Billion Surplus, Wants To Give It Back To The Taxpayers

weaselzippers;
Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker's Policies Lead To Nearly $1 Billion Surplus, Wants To Give It Back To The Taxpayers

It’s stories like this that send libs into cardiac arrest.
RUSH: The state of Wisconsin instituted his [Governor Scott Walker] policy reforms, deemphasizing the role of unions in the state, and the upshot of it is that Wisconsin's unemployment rate is rapidly falling, so new jobs are being created there. Wisconsin's budget is now in surplus $912 million. There is a $1 billion government surplus in the state of Wisconsin. And Governor Scott Walker is going to rebate the money in the form of tax cuts to the people who he said own the money. He's going to cut income taxes and property taxes, and he made the point that it's not just a gimmick of budgeting or accounting. It's the result of serious, significant policy changes.
… what I just told you was not reported once anywhere in what you would consider mainstream media. It was not reported on one cable network, much less all of them. It was not reported in the New York Times, the Washington Post, or the LA Times. It was reported in Wisconsin. There was an AP story on it, maybe some local papers picked it up, but just as a filler. On all the opinion shows on the Fox News Channel, there was not a syllable of this story discussed. And to me, for us as conservatives, Wisconsin and Governor Walker, I mean, everything that we want to happen, happened there.
… The Drive-Bys are not reporting on Wisconsin. The mainstream media is not reporting on it. The GOP, you would think the Republican Party would be singing the praises of one of their own. Instead they're all focused on Christie. They´re all focused on trying to save Chris Christie.

Thank You Gov. Walker, Rush Limbaugh, WZ, and Zip.
