Doctor Sums Up ObamaCare In One Sentence
A doctor sums up the ironies and hypocrisies of Obamacare in one sentence. It’s 132 words long and takes about a minute to get out, but it’s still one sentence.
As a humorous introduction to an in-depth examination of the serious dangers of Obamacare, Dr. Barbara Ruth Bellar provided her audience with a surprisingly succinct single sentence summary of Obamacare.
Technically, you could argue that she's done in my her own gloating "One sentence!" interjection in the middle, which some might argue splits the sentence into three sentence fragments. But, she's a former nun and Army major, so I'm not bold enough to challenge her on that.
And, but for a few occasions, with deft skill or luck, although long, yet clear because it’s simple and neither convoluted nor rambling, the sentence is nonetheless surprisingly economical in its use of conjunctions.
Here's the transcript of Dr. Bellar's one-sentence wonder:
“We’re going to be gifted with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a Congress that didn’t read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes … same sentence … with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect by the government, which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare — all to be overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke.”
Thank You CNS, Mr Bannister and Dr Bellar
