Obama Can't Defend His Record On Jobs, Asks Debate Moderator To "Move On To Another Topic"
Almost everyone saw this last night but I think it’s worth enshrining with a post.
OBAMA: Jim, I — you may want to move onto another topic, but I — I would just say this to the American people. If you believe that we can cut taxes by $5 trillion and add $2 trillion in additional spending that the military is not asking for, $7 trillion — just to give you a sense, over 10 years, that’s more than our entire defense budget — and you think that by closing loopholes and deductions for the well-to-do, somehow you will not end up picking up the tab, then Governor Romney’s plan may work for you.

Obama Pushes Wealth Redistribution During Closing Statement: "Everybody's Getting A Fair Share".
He just can’t help himself.
In President Obama’s closing statement at last night’s debate, he seemed to make a remarkable slip. “All those things are designed to make sure that the American people, their genius, their grit, their determination, is — is channeled and — and they have an opportunity to succeed. And everybody’s getting a fair shot. And everybody’s getting a fair share,” Obama said, before quickly correcting himself and adding.
“[E]verybody’s doing a fair share, and everybody’s playing by the same rules,” he added.

AARP To Obama After Debate "Don't Drag Us Down With You"
A bit surprising considering the AARP sold its members out by wholeheartedly backing Obamacare.
AARP’s Statement on the Denver Presidential Debate — AARP Press Release
Denver, CO— Earlier this evening the Presidential candidates discussed AARP, Social Security and Medicare during the first Presidential debate of the 2012 general election. AARP, a sponsor of activities at all four of the 2012 Presidential and Vice Presidential debates, released the following statement in response. AARP Senior Vice President John Hishta said:
“We’re grateful that this evening the candidates engaged in a more robust conversation with regard to Medicare. We’re also pleased Social Security was included in tonight’s debate. But America’s voters deserve more than talking points and 30-second sound bites. Our members and older Americans want to hear how the candidates would strengthen Social Security, Medicare, and financial security, and we encourage the candidates to offer more specifics about their plans before Election Day.
“Across party lines, older voters say that getting more information on the candidates’ plans on these crucial economic security programs will help them determine their vote. We know that our members vote, and they want the candidates to tell them how they’ll fix Medicare and Social Security for them, their kids and their grandkids.
“Earlier this year, we launched You’ve Earned a Say, a national conversation on the future of Social Security and Medicare, to engage people in communities across the country so they have the pros and cons of proposals currently on the table in Washington and on the campaign trail.
“While we respect the rights of each campaign to make its case to voters, AARP has never consented to the use of its name by any candidate or political campaign. AARP is a nonpartisan organization and we do not endorse political candidates nor coordinate with any candidate or political party.

And of course, there's VP Biden's response.
We Sure Did.
Vice President Joe Biden, in post-debate comments streamed to campaign watch parties across the nation, reiterated some of President Obama’s points and urged supporters to “press even harder” in the weeks ahead.
“Folks, I hope you saw what I saw tonight: two candidates with fundamentally different visions and a fundamentally different set of values,” he said. “And I hope and appreciate that, that you know just how, how, how high the stakes are, that you all appreciate it.”
The vice president said he thought the president “made it absolutely clear that he believes hard work should be rewarded, that accountability should be demanded and that everyone, everyone who works at it, should have a fair shot at a better deal.
“I also thought the president did an excellent job in laying out his specific concrete, plans for restoring the middle class, from ending tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas to giving tax credits to companies who bring jobs home, to preparing 100,000 new math and science teachers and training two million workers at our community colleges so we can continue to have the best, most productive work force in the world.”
Our Take?
Last night's debate showed that America is Fed Up with the Nanny State personified by President Obama.
They want the Smaller, Lawful, Constitutional Government their ancestors agreed to. And even Romney, ...... easily demolished Obama's faith in Socialism.
