CNN.com has;
"U.S. District Court Judge Henry Hudson struck down the "individual mandate" requiring most Americans to purchase health insurance by 2014. The Justice Department is expected to challenge the judge's findings in a federal appeals court. ..... ,
"..... I am gratified we prevailed," said Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, a conservative Republican elected in 2009. "This won't be the final round, as this will ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court, but today is a critical milestone in the protection of the Constitution."
And from earlier this year, Congressman Ron Paul recaps this pile of Socialist Hellcare.
The departure we retain from Congressman Paul's summation, ..... is Tort Reform. Hit our label 14th Amendment if you need a refresher.
We also seem to remember Obamacare containing a "non severability" clause: IE, It couldn't be nipped away and overturned in pieces. Good. If the requirement forcing folks to Buy Insurance Remains Unconstitutional, then the Whole Thing goes Down with it.
Let's hope the other State AGs challenging this Bill enjoy victory post haste: Forcing it before the US Supreme Court before our current President can remake the Court itself with future judicial appointees.
