  1. Bunker-

Had no idea, and I have 12 and a half ears sober.

DSM has no billing code for AA?

If my facts are correct, AA has stopped many an alcoholic. I personally don't go anymore, but the 90/90 may have saved my life.

Or maybe the codes should be changed
    1. Tequila
    2. Brandy
    3. Scotch
    4. Vodka
    5. White Wine
    6. Red Wine
    7. Beer...

    etc....etc....

and the next thing after that to add to the DSM is catnip addiction.

    Peace Bunky.

  2. That would be bad for business, if Shrinks sent folks to AA rather than addicting them to drugs through their Incurable Bio-Billing-Bull-$cience.

What Shrinks and the Other Drunk/Doper Docs in California Had till last summer was a Physician Diversion Scam - for THEMSELVES -
    and not their marks.

And half of Cal's Alcohol and Drug Impaired Docs just stayed in hiding, ON THE JOB, Drunk and Doped Up with scalpels and prescription pads.

  3. Bunker,

If you have ever been to an AA meeting- you get almost everyone chain smoking, and drinking way to strong coffee.

Certainly Big Tobacco and coffee can give some kickbacks to the docs for telling people to go to AA!
Or give said doc a free pack of smokes and a cappucino?

(just kidding. But it would be cool for Big Tobacco to give out ashtrays with an AA logo, and coffee to give out paper cups with same logo).

Free scalpels in CA? Wow. I don't know whether to laugh or cry

  4. Prescribing Treatment For Drug Addicted Doctors"..... More than three-quarters of doctors enrolled in state programs stayed drug-free over a five-year monitoring period. The results were the same regardless of whether the doctor's drug of choice was alcohol, crack cocaine, prescription drugs or other substances. .....

..... The research, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, ...... "

RWJF is the $$ behind J&J/Janssen/Risperdal
