Corporations Pass Through whatever taxes they get hit with by Adding those Taxes onto the price of their product: be it Drugs or Automobiles, and the end consumer pays "Tax the Rich" Corporate tax pass throughs.

If Corporations actually Paid those Tax increases out of their profits, - Thereby Diminishing Shareholder Return - the Shareholders would Replace the Directors or pull their Money Out. Should Congress actually close every tax loophole to squeeze those profits out of corporations, ..... those corporations will lay everyone off, and move manufacturing to Communist China. In 1990 we passed a luxury tax on yachts, jewelry, etc. The result was a net Loss of (at least) $7.6 Million in tax revenues, because people stopped buying those items. You might also revisit NY city's 50 year obsession with cutting its revenues off to spite its smokers. Higher taxes yield higher unemployment, which yields higher crime, more depression, and a perceived Need, .... for More taxes, to fund More 'depression' research and services. We need a reappraisal of Non-Profits, if we're going to avert this Global economic collapse. Dr. Michael Friedman takes $1,086,092.00 in compensation from the "City Of Hope" Cancer Klatch. (backstory) And $346,263.00 of that was a Bonus, for Being Non-Profitable. Those numbers Alone are a Screaming Billboard that the "City Of Hope" is anything But Non-Profitable.

And what's this "Hope" thing? This is Not the City of "Cure", ..... any more than Psychiatry has any Cures, ...... beyond Jack and his Drug Money.
